A few things give me reprieve in these times. More often than not, I am stressed and I could cry if I leave it unchecked. In addition to that, I am what you could term boring with almost zero social life. That is the way I prefer it though. I like staying indoors more than I like going out and mixing up with people I do not know.
There are apps on my phone that I go to when I need to de-stress. There used to be a lot more, however, I get bored easily and even now, I swap from one app to the other in a matter of minutes.
Netflix
This is my go-to after work. My life is simple and so are the activities it involves. When I get home from work, I shower and go to my bed with a hot meal and my phone in hand. This is a great way to unwind for me. I binge on K-drama and movies. I watch so much comedy and then (recently) flip to horror.
Nothing like a good thrill to end the day. Of course, sometimes I fall asleep watching and my mother, bless her, would wake me up to turn off my phone and go to bed.
Bubble Rangers
I found this game thanks to @tengolotodo. It started with doing quests for the Airdrop and earn some cash in the future. In case you did not know, Tengo is pretty much a living research machine and his nose is always where the money lies. This play-2-earn quickly turned to a major de-stressifier. I play this at work especially when that mean headache rears its ugly head. When I open the app for as little as ten minutes, my body goes lose. My muscles relax and I am more concentrated on dodging obstacles than worrying about anything else.
I am not into mobile games. I hardly play them except for Word Cookies but this one had me hooked. Tengo said I would get addicted and that I did. It is one app I open at least once per day. Doing tasks, jumping, sliding, and running is all I need to get my head back in the game.
WebToon
I love anime but before I did find anime, I was a comic freak. I was an avid reader on Webcomics, which I later let go off because I got busy with life. Then I came across WebToon last year and thought why not. The first thing that struck me on this app was that after my long hiatus, I come to find that one of my favourite comics (left unfinished on Webcomics) was updated here. What a time I spent catching up with my favourite characters.
My interest in WebToon doubled when I realized that so many were K-drama and Wattpadd adaptations. I read Marry My Husband and True Beauty before I realized they had movies.
Books
I am a reader. I love to read novels and not just any kind. I have specific tastes. I find myself on this app when I want to unwind as well. I let off steam by reading steam. I can spend hours flipping through pages in my e-library and by the time I am done, I always feel more than satisfied.
