Urgh so shark week descended on me last night, like clockwork. I, unfortunately, was caught unawares as I swear I just had my period the other day? Good lord time flies so fast. Luckily we have some emergency supplies stashed around the house, but it was a close call 😱
So yes, I am retaining water and I am bloated, but it's a reality that I haven't been putting my weight loss goals first this month, and birthdays or no, that's on me. I also ate a whole tub of ice cream on my own when I was feeling miff... so there's that.
I really thought I would be much further along in my goals towards 80kgs, but its disheartening to feel like I take 1 step forward and 2 steps back.
The Ozempic is working as hard as it can against the barrage of cupcakes and other naughty foods I have been chomping, from pizza to MacDonald's, and a few special soft serve ice creams that I bought to reward Matthew for being brave at the Doctor... twice.
Al of the above considered, I should have really put on a lot more weight, so I guess I can be grateful to the Ozempic for keeping those kilos at bay.
I only have about two doses left in my pen and the reality is that, if I want to reach my goal, I need to put on my big girl panties and take responsibility for my diet and start swimming again.
Overall though, there is a definite reduction in centimeters all around, which is really encouraging. I'm so glad I got into measuring myself!
