Nasi Kandar authentic Indian frood from Penang

    Nasi kandar is a popular northern Malaysian dish from Penang, originally introduced by Tamil Muslim or Mamak traders from India.

    The meal consists of steamed rice combined with an array of distinct curries, chutnies, sides dishes, and gravies which usually containing tons of spices. The selection of curries consists of various blends of vegetables, seafood or meat.

    Pictured here is a tsunami of fish and squid curries. I literally tell the server i want a tsunami of curry which a common term for the rice to be drowned in curry. With sides of papadum, candied cabbage, salted duck egg and green chilli chutney.
