We attended an afternoon novena mass in Basilica De Santo Nino Cebu last previous Sunday and after the mass we wanted to relax at the same time eat our early dinner. My boyfriend found a post on the Internet about a customer’s review on their experience in Chixboy Chicken and Barbeque Busay so decided to give it a try. The place is located near Temple of Leah, one of the famous travel spot in Cebu.
When we arrived at the place, we were greeted with their polite staffs offering us the menu and the breathtaking overlooking view. We took a few minutes to appreciate the place and capture some photos. After a while, we decided to order some food. They have a very wide selection of barbeques including chicken, pork and seafoods. The also have some platter options of classic Filipino dish such us Tinolang Manok, Tinolang Baboy and Pancit. They also serve fruit shakes and fruit drinks. Everything on their menu has a reasonable price.
We ordered chicken barbeque, grilled ribbs and Pancit. We actually did not expect that there servings are quite a lot for a single person to consume especially their pancit platter. They serve huge portions so I think the price was just reasonable. And by the way, the serve rice in a separate order, it is not included when you order the main dishes. The chicken and grilled ribs was tender and a bit sweet for my liking. Their pancit was overloaded with vegetables and pork cutlets. For our drinks, we just got lemon soda and water. It was also great because they have a very attentive staffs. Overall, our food experience was beyond 10 out of 10.
Moving on to the actual set up of the place, it was also a chef’s kiss. The overlooking view completed our experience. It was so relaxing and we could just sit their for long hours. We could see the beautiful city lights of cebu as the sun started to set. Having dinner with this is a much needed reset if you are stress or if you are just looking for a place to eat and breath.
Chixboy Chicken and Barbeque is a really must visit food spot in Busay. You’ll get a mix experience of good food and a relaxing ambience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and hopefully, I could visit the place again soon.
