Christmas Weekend Rush
Last minute shopping! Who can relate?! I guess we are not alone in this.
We just subjected ourselves to the Christmas rush. We somehow expected it when we left the house, but we definitely underestimated how bad it would be.
At least, we made the right decision when we had lunch at the Lipa Town Center instead of waiting until we reached the mall.
We went to Lipa Town Center after we finished buying some cheeses and deli at Gertdmans Delicatessen. Actually, we should have tried the biryani and shawarma restaurant nearby while we were waiting for the stuff that we bought to be prepared.
Anyway, I am a bit reluctant to try any Middle Eastern food here in PH because I don't want to be disappointed. I already got disappointed by the "shawarma" from Turks. It tasted more like a gyro.
First Time in a Jeepney
My 2 younger kids came with my sister and I. Little Man was exceptionally excited because he learned that the jeepney had open windows, which meant that the wind would just touch his face as we sped by.
He really enjoyed while I was so "stressed" that he might stick his head out of the jeepney. 🤦♀️
So yeah, after buying stuff from the Delicatessen and eating lunch, we headed to the mall. And boy, oh boy! We dared not attempt to buy anything. The queue for the cashier at any shop was so long. Paying would take longer than the shopping itself. So, no.
After going around a bit, we knew that it was useless. We decided to go home. Good thing, the jeepney terminal was just within the mall compound.
To complete the experience for the kids, we rode the tricycle or a motorcyle with a passenger cab attached to it.
I think this was the only time that they enjoyed a commute. 11/10 rating as per Little Man. Lol. Hmm, my father would be glad he wouldn't need to drive us around. 🤭
How about you, how was your weekend?
Christmas is really in the air. Happy Holidays, you guys! 🎄✨️🎊🥂🥳
