"Vermilion Flycatcher"

Good evening Hive family and all the photographers lovers around the world, what I have here for you all tonight are some shot's of this amazing bird, the Vermilion Flycatcher and this beauty was one of the biggest reason's for me to go down to Rob's Field for the first time. I am just really glad I found them and I thank one of my new photography buddies for sending me to the two locations to find this guy and the Burrowing Owl. For this is a first time capture for me of this bird as well, so I am very happy I got them in but I need to go and see if I can get even better ones and take more time with it. I did here must of followed this guy for an hour but I need to get closer and every time it would just fly off. I think next time, if its still there do that and then just post up in a spot it perches on and wait for that action. Sounds like a really good plan to me because I didn't even get a in flight shot too, need that one for sure, of course if I can. Like I said it is fast but I got to be faster, so stay tuned to see. Now let's get into these shot's, I posted all of them, so if I ever do another it will be because I got more on another day. The cover shot above, I just had to go with this one here, it was the action shot I got, while it had a rollie pollie in its beak, the sad part is its not of the best quality but it literally was the only shot I got off in this moment. It flew away right away after that first shot, so I suppose I got to be thankful to get this one because I love it, the tree and the backdrop with the color is awesome to me. Hopefully I can repeat this scene, probably not with the bug but this angle. As for the next shot, I also love this one and almost was the cover but the shade from the other trees on its face I'm not happy with, maybe I get a better moment here too next time.
This one is cool too but I got to remember to fix the blue sky next time while editing, its just to blue to me but I rather just post it than letting it sit in a folder forever.
Another awesome moment and scene and once again the shade from another branch ruined my shot, I so hope I can get all these or try and get them next time. The beak open, the color and the branch are perfect spot, just need it too be no shadow.
As this is one of the better detailed shot, once again another branch is in my dang way, sad but I rather get the shot's in than never getting them at all.
As for the last shot, I had to just put it in this post, like I said I am posting all the decent ones I got but I can tell this, I like them all but they are not it. I must do better and get that one that I feel is printable. I love challenging myself, so stay tuned for more action from me.
