It has been announced officially that Xavi Hernandez will remaXavi'ss FC Barcelona coach for next season's until his contract expires in 2026. The long saga between Xavi departure, which he announced will happen at the end of the season, has come to an end, and the Xavi project is still alive and ready to push forward for the future. The decision was long overdue, and I knew it would happen because Laporta and Deco have said on more than three occasions that they would try everything in their power to convince Xavi to stay at the club
It has not been easy for Xavi as Barcelona managed to decide whether the pressure he has received from the media and fans was too much, and it got Xavi to decide to leave the club at the end of the season. Xavi has been solid from my perspective, and I have never thought of Xavi leaving the club because of the poor performance of the team this season. If one thing, all Barcelona fans should be grateful to Xavi because he proved to be a good manager and has room for more improvement.
In three years of Xavi coaching in Barcelona, he won the Spanish League title and Spanish Super Cup, which is an impressive achievement, and it's not appreciated enough, which is sad. Liverpool stood by Klopp for seven years he won the EPL title once in the seven years he spent at the club with a Champions League title and when he announced he was leaving at the end of this season the fans were not happy and still wanted Klopp to change his decision.
Arsenal is another example of trust built between the fans, the manager, and the board. Arteta has been in Arsenal for five years if I am correct, and he has won an FA Cup and Community Shield for Arsenal. Arteta has yet to win a League title with the club, but the Arsenal fans still believe it's a process and they will get there soon, but some Barca fans don't want to be patient with Xavi and want him out of the club because of one bad season which is ridiculous.
Xavi has a project and I am 100 per cent sure if Xavi was getting the signings he requested from the Barcelona board he would be able to compete in Europe which has been the main reason why some Barcelona fans won't Xavi out because of his poor performance in the Champions League for the past three seasons. Rome was not built in a day, and I know Xavi is building something big with the club all he needs is time, and the result will come soon. I wish Xavi the best as he continues, and next season, the boys will go all out in all competitions.
