After I already published blogs in which I reported on my upgrades of the common and rare cards from the Rebellion Reward Set, and I was able to upgrade the epic Reward cards in advance, only one rarity level is still missing: the legendary Reward cards. I want to upgrade the legendary reward cards to level 2 if possible, which means I need 3 BCX per card. This means it will be an expensive affair, as a Legendary Draw costs 35k Glint and I only get just over 100k Glint per season. But since the Rebellion Reward cards are still available for quite a while, I hope that sooner or later I will be able to upgrade all of them to level 2.
With the Glint from the last Splinterlands Season, I naturally got myself Legendary Draws to achieve this goal. Let's take a look at what I got.
I spent 140k Glint and still only managed to buy four Legendary Draws. As always, I used Alchemy Potions when opening, but I didn't get a golden card. That would have been really strong, as a golden legendary card is usually very valuable. But at least I got four different cards, so I can play them on the first level in my battles and get an impression of the cards. Here you can experience the opening for yourself.
Let's take a closer look at the first two cards I received below. And since they are the legendary cards, we will also take a closer look at the artwork and lore and possible combinations with other cards from the Rebellion expansion.
Gallicus
In the lore of Splinterlands, there is the “Mox Confederation”, a kind of confederation of three cities. Of these, Gallicus is a member of the “High Council”, a kind of advisory council for the confederation of cities. The “Mox Confederation” has been trying to maintain neutrality since before the “Chaos Legion” appeared in Praetoria. And although the “Chaos Legion” tries to get the “Mox Confederation” on its side, neutrality is maintained, also with regard to the rebellion.
I think the artwork on the card is pretty good. You can see that Gallicus is in a position of responsibility and that he acts accordingly. People can probably rely on him. He reminds me of a Roman legionary.
In the game, Gallicus belongs to the Life Splinter and is relatively cheap to play with a mana cost of four. It has two Ranged Attack, but is more suitable as a defensive card due to its Taunt ability. The Lifepoints of five are not bad for this, but the card only has one Speedpoint, which makes it very slow. At the second level, the card also becomes more interesting for me, as it gains the Shield ability and is thus strengthened on the defensive against physical attacks.
Probably the best summoner for Gallicus is unsurprisingly Eternal Tofu, especially if you choose the variant with the abilities Triage and Scavenger, as Gallicus can be healed in the back position and always gains more health.
If you play Thanalorian Archer behind or in front of Gallicus, he only receives half the damage from Sneak, Snipe or Opportunity attacks thanks to the Lookout ability, so Gallicus lives longer and can keep the attacks away from the rest of the line-up thanks to the Taunt ability.
One card that benefits from not being attacked at the start of the battle due to its low health is Olivia of the Brook. While Gallicus is tanking the attacks, Olivia of the Brook can mutate into a really strong card thanks to the Mimic ability.

Sergeant Grauzral
Sergeant Grauzral, whose full name is Aura Grauzral, has always been familiar with the elemental magic of water. However, this talent was not appreciated by the “Belurocian Military” in which she served and she was assigned as a foot soldier with a sword. As this offended her, she defected to the “Chaos Legion” after their arrival and was given a high position in the ranks of the “Chaos Legion” for passing on internal information about her city “New Beluroc”. Since “New Beluroc” was taken, she has roamed the city under the flag of the “Chaos Legion” and can use her magic at will.
The artwork of the card fits in very well with the lore, as the tattered clothing and intimidating appearance match the gloomy “Chaos Legion” very well. In addition, Sergeant Grauzral's artwork also looks very deceitful, but you can't necessarily blame her for the betrayal. It would also have been cool if the card had also been playable for the Death Splinter.
So Sergeant Grauzral only belongs to the Water Splinter. The card can be played for six mana and is characterized above all by the ability Opportunity, which fits well with the treacherous lore and I also think is very strong. It has two Ranged Attack, three speed points and five health points, which I think is very solid. Additionally, the card has the ability Immunity, which makes it very strong in the ruleset Noxious Fumes. If you can upgrade Sergeant Grauzral to the second level, she gets another very strong ability, namely Blast.
A summoner that fits perfectly with Sergeant Grauzral is Prophet Rosa, as she can give two more ranged attack points and thus make Sergeant Grauzral's attack even stronger and more dangerous.
Chaos Rear Gurad could be placed behind Sergeant Grauzral to better protect her from attacks from behind or opportunity attacks. This would compensate for the disadvantage of Sergeant Grauzral's somewhat low health points.
In the Chaos Legion expansion era, I was always a fan of having at least two Opportunity attackers in the lineup. This could currently be achieved by combining Sergeant Grauzral with Mad Ogre Anarchist, which is a solid neutral card.

Last Words
That was my introduction to the first two cards. I'm especially convinced of Sergeant Grauzral and I think that it will play an important role in the meta as soon as Chaos Legion rotates out of Modern. But Gallicus is not a bad card either and will certainly be convincing in one or the other matchup. As so often, I also find the lore behind the two cards quite successful.

Nachdem ich bereits Blogs veröffentlichte, in denen ich über meine Upgrades der common und rare Karten aus dem Rebellion Reward Set berichtete, und ich die epic Reward Karten bereits im Vorfeld upgraden konnte, fehlt nur noch eine Seltenheitsstufe: die legendären Reward Karten. Die legendären Reward Karten möchte ich, wenn möglich, auf Level 2 verbessern, heißt ich benötige 3 BCX pro Karte. Das bedeutet es wird eine teure Angelegenheit, da ein Legendary Draw 35k Glint kostet und ich pro Season nur etwas mehr als 100k Glint erhalte. Da die Rebellion Reward Karten aber noch eine ganze Weile verfügbar sind, hoffe ich, dass ich früher oder später alle auf Level 2 upgraden kann.
Mit den Glint aus der letzten Splinterlands Season habe ich mir natürlich Legendare Draws besorgt, um dieses Ziel zu erreichen. Schauen wir uns an, was ich erhalten habe.
Ganze 140k Glint habe ich ausgegeben und trotzdem konnte ich mir davon nur vier Legendary Draws kaufen. Wie immer habe ich beim Öffnen Alchemy Potions verwendet, jedoch keine goldene Karte erhalten. Das wäre richtig stark gewesen, da eine legendäre goldene Karte meistens sehr wertvoll ist. Aber immerhin habe ich vier verschiedene Karten erhalten, so kann ich diese auf dem ersten Level in meinen Battles schon spielen und mir einen Eindruck von den Karten verschaffen. Hier könnt ihr das Opening nochmal selbst erleben.
Schauen wir uns die ersten zwei Karten, die ich erhalten habe, im folgenden mal etwas näher an. Und da es die legendären Karten sind, werden wir auch ein wenig auf das Artwork bzw. die Lore und mögliche Kombinationen mit anderen Karten aus der Rebellion Erweiterung eingehen.
Gallicus
In der Lore von Splinterlands existiert die „Mox Confederation“, eine Art Städtebund von drei Städten. Hiervon ist Gallicus ein Mitglied des „High Council“, also eine Art von Rat des Städtebunds. Die „Mox Confederation“ versucht die Neutralität zu wahren, schon bevor die „Chaos Legion“ in Praetoria erschien. Und obwohl die "Chaos Legion“ versucht, die „Mox Confederation“ auf ihre Seite zu ziehen, wird die Neutralität gewahrt, auch was die Rebellion angeht.
Das Artwork der Karte finde ich ziemlich gelungen. Man kann sehen, dass Gallicus in einer verantwortungsvollen Position ist und diese auch so wahrnimmt. Die Leute können sich vermutlich auf ihn verlassen. Mich erinnert er an einen römischen Legionär.
Im Spiel gehört Gallicus dem Life Splinter an und ist mit vier Manakosten relativ billig zu spielen. Er hat zwei Ranged Attack, ist wegen der Ability Taunt aber eher als defensive Karten einzusetzen. Die Lifepoints von fünf sind hierfür nicht schlecht, jedoch hat die Karte nur einen Speedpoint, wodurch sie sehr langsam ist. Auf dem zweiten Level wird die Karte auch für mich interessanter, da sie noch die Ability Shield erhält und dadurch in der Defensive gegen physische Angriffe gestärkt wird.
Der wahrscheinlich beste Summoner für Gallicus ist wenig überraschend Eternal Tofu, vor allem wenn man die Variante mit den Abilities Triage und Scavenger wählt, da Gallicus in der hinteren Position geheilt werden kann und immer mehr an Lebenspunkten erhält.
Spielt man Thanalorian Archer hinter oder vor Gallicus, erhält dieser dank der Ability Lookout lediglich den halben Schaden von Sneak, Snipe oder Opportunity Angriffen, sodass Gallicus länger lebt und dank der Ability Taunt die Angriffe von der restlichen Aufstellung fernhalten kann.
Eine Karte, die aufgrund der geringen Lebenspunkte davon profitiert zu Beginn des Battles nicht attackiert zu werden, ist Olivia of the Brook. Während Gallicus die Angriffe tankt, kann Olivia of the Brook durch die Ability Mimic zu einer richtig starken Karte mutieren.

Sergeant Grauzral
Sergeant Grauzral, mit ganzen Namen Aura Grauzral, war schon immer mit der elementaren Magie des Wassers vertraut. Allerdings wurde dieses Talent durch das „Belurocian Military“, in welchem sie diente, nicht gewürdigt und sie wurde als Fußsoldatin mit einem Schwert eingesetzt. Da sie dies beleidigte, lief sie nach der Ankunft der „Chaos Legion“ zu diesen über und erhielt eine hohe Stelle in den Reihen der „Chaos Legion“, da sie interne Informationen zu ihrer Stadt „New Beluroc“ weitergab. Seitdem „New Beluroc“ eingenommen wurde, streift sie unter der Flagge der „Chaos Legion“ durch die Stadt und kann nach Belieben ihre Magie einsetzen.
Das Artwork der Karte passt sehr gut zur Lore, denn die zerfetze Kleidung und das einschüchternde Erscheinungsbild passt sehr gut zur düsteren „Chaos Legion“. Außerdem wirkt Sergeant Grauzrals Artwork auch sehr hinterlistig, jedoch kann man ihr den Verrat nicht unbedingt übel nehmen. Auch cool gewesen wäre, wenn die Karte zusätzlich noch für das Death Splinter spielbar wäre.
So gehört Sergeant Grauzral lediglich zum Water Splinter. Die Karte kann für sechs Manakosten gespielt werden und zeichnet sich vor allem durch die Ability Opportunity aus, welche gut zur verräterischen Lore passt und ich auch sehr stark finde. Sie besitzt zwei Ranged Attack, drei Speedpunkte und fünf Healthpoints, was ich für sehr solide halte. Zusätzlich hat die Karte noch die Ability Immunity, was sie sehr stark im Ruleset Noxious Fumes macht. Kann man Sergeant Grauzral auf des zweite Level upgraden erhält sie nochmal eine sehr starke Ability, nämlich Blast.
Ein Summoner, der perfekt zu Sergeant Grauzral passt, ist Prophet Rosa, da diese zwei weitere Ranged Attackpoints verleihen kann und somit den Angriff von Sergeant Grauzral noch stärker und gefährlicher machen kann.
Um Sergeant Grauzral besser von Angriffen von hinten oder auch Opportunity Angriffen zu schützen, könnte man Chaos Rear Gurad dahinter platzieren. So wäre der Nachteil der etwas geringen Lebenspunkte von Sergeant Grauzral etwas ausgeglichen.
In der Ära der Chaos Legion Erweiterung war ich immer ein Fan von mindestens zwei Opportunity Angreifern in der Aufstellung. Das könnte man aktuell erreichen, indem man Sergeant Grauzral mit Mad Ogre Anarchist kombiniert, welches eine solide neutrale Karte ist.

Letzte Worte
Das war meine Vorstellung der ersten beiden Karten. Vor allem von Sergeant Grauzral bin ich überzeugt und ich denke, dass sie spätestens sobald Chaos Legion aus Modern rausrotiert eine wichtige Rolle in der Meta einnehmen wird. Aber auch Gallicus ist keine schlechte Karte und wird mit Sicherheit in dem ein oder anderem Matchup überzeugen können. Auch die Lore hinter den beiden Karten finde ich, wie so oft, ziemlich gelungen.
