We waited for 2 days until the Guevarra Holdings Company called for the result of our job interviews.
If I get things clear and realize that he just vaguely foretold me that I am rejected, I'm doomed. I'm just holding a little pinch of hope by the possibility of positivity.
I am at GHC building right now together with Mr Sabado and Miss Valera, but only one of the three panels is here. And guess who? It's Sir. Brandon.
I left that thought of him last time we talked because today is the day we'll get things clear.
We greet him as soon as his eyes gazed on us and after a few minutes he announced the result. I just can't maintain the length of his gaze whenever our eyes meet.
Mr Sabado got hired as an intern treasurer at Retail & eCommerce department while Miss Valera got hired as an intern employee at Media & Communications department.
It's my turn...
I am nervous knowing that this is a great opportunity I would lose if ever I'm rejected. It matched my schedule and there are only basic requirements needed as long as you had a job experience.
"Miss Gregorio..." His gaze captivated my eyes but I left a curious look asking if I am hired or dumped.
"You are hired..."
"As intern secretary at Main Department."
I couldn't contain my happiness that I stood up in a sudden.
"Thank you, sir! I wasn't wrong of my assumption. Now I'm sure y-you're a kindhearted person for real." I let a smile that lit up my face. His pretty eyes narrowed as he also smiled.
He diverted his attention to my colleagues.
"So, congratulations to the three of you."
"Thank you sir!" The three of us thanked Sir Brandon.
He left an amiable smile, that particular smile featuring his pretty eyes.
He placed his attention to his phone and talked to someone on a call.
"Come here in the interview lobby. Lead Mr. Sabado into the Retail & eCommerce department and also, Miss Valera into Media & Communications department." He told the other line.
"Yeah please, ASAP." Then he ended phone call.
I had instincts that I will go with Sir Brandon.
Not even a minute has passed when someone came. He gave a friendly gesture to us.
"Goodmorning! So Mr. Sabado and Miss Valera," He politely told my fellow workers to come with him as he'll be leading them to their own working areas.
He already made a step out of the lobby so Mr. Sabado and Miss Valera then came with him.
"What about me, Sir?"
"You are hired as the Secretary, Miss Gregorio. Be my assistant for now since Mrs Guevarra is in Baguio for a month so I've been told to take care of things for now like what she do."
Ah is that so. He is probably pertaining to the CEO or the President of GH Company.
When I got a chance to talk to him, I thanked him and their company for giving me a chance to earn more income for our family, i told him that this is a great opportunity for me. I opened up about my feelings when i thought i am going to be dumped because he saw me working already at the hotel but I still decided to get a job here. He is considerate and told to me to not worry about it.
Weeks have passed when I got used to working as Secretary because the company was so considerate though their rules are strict. Brandon made it easier for me including the other interns to be responsible with our duties. With that kind of treatment I experienced with them, it didn't became hard for me to strive in the two companies i work on.
Months have passed when when Mrs Guevarra came back. My heart melts when she gave me a warm approach even if it's the first time we met.
