Hey there! This is me, your AmerrEffect from City of Naga, Cebu. I hope everyone is doing well, stay hydrated as we welcome the sunny season of summer.
At this very young age, I always dreamed of travelling to different cities and countries around the world simply because I wanted to personally experience the beauty of nature, the people and the foods. I cannot explain the feeling but there is really something about travelling that make us feel more alive and happy even though travelling is very tiring at times. Well, I think it is a good way to get tired in a vacation.
Today, I am going to share about a beach time story I had with my whole family at Coral Blue Resort Moalboal – This is located at Basdako Moalboal, Cebu. The whole family gathered to have a beach break after a very tiring weeks at work and me as a student, it is almost summer vacation so it is perfect to start it with a swimming sessions. We depart at exactly 6 in the morning and as you can see the van is very full packed because we are a family of two so it is indeed an all in one ride. There’s no room for you to move extra with your legs or arms but espite being full-packed like sardines inside the Van, we are all having fun.
As we arrived to Moalboal proper, we went straight to their Tourist Office to register and pay for environmental fees. That is one of their municipality rules being imposed to maintain environmental management while their tourist spots are booming. It can both benefit the municipality and the environment.
Moving forward, as we got in at the resort, we immediately settled our things and prepared the foods since we didn’t bring ready-eat foods because everytime we go to the beach we prefer grilled type of foods. So, the boys are the one who were assigned grill the pork and fish while the girls are very busy with their picture-perfect session. I can still recall the smell of grilled pork and fish the dominates the air around the cottage and it really made us feel hungrier that time. Some of us are helping in arranging the bags, setting up the table, and preparing the drinks. Well, the well-grown boys are starting to go rounds with the glass of beer while grilling and having funny conversations. It is really one of the most memorable things I could remember of the entire trip.
One thing that I observed during the trip is that everyone is getting busy and happy to what they are doing. And I guess, connecting with nature could really help in recharging. The place is quiet simple, it doesn’t have anything extra that can beautify the area but the place itself brings its own beauty that nothing can compare. We are all just there enjoying each other’s company and sharing good food and making a memories that we can keep forever. This reminds me that it is important to take a pause in life and breath to recharge. As they say, nature heals.
So yeah, with the overall experience, I am having fun specially the time when we do a group photos with my cousins and siblings. The beach is crystal-clear and we couldn’t resist jumping in right after we finished eating because the water is so refreshing. We also brought our snorkeling gears so we really enjoyed the view of the underwater because you will see the different aquamarine animals and beautiful corals. It really feels like we are entering into a new world, the vibrant color of the sea really reflects the mood that we are having. The time really seemed to slow down as we floated in the water because it feels like we are surrounded with peace and tranquility. The nature really has it’s own magic that brings peace and healing to our well-being and that is really something unexplainable because every time we feel drained or stressed, we always wanted to connect with nature. Somehow, gathering like this with the whole family or friends are literally a gem to be treasured forever.
During the afternoon, I could see that some of my cousins are already drunk and they are all having fun playing disco music and dancing at the sea shore while the kids are playing around and making sand castle. This is truly fun! I could say, the locals here are very lucky to have a nearby beach that has clean surroundings with pristine water. I am actually living at City of Naga and unfortunately we doesn’t have white sand beaches here and I think it is not really safe for swimming because our coastal area has a lot of vessels around. So yeah, before 6pm we started packing our things so we could leave before the sunset is over and everyone is looking tired and sleepy with sunburn in their faces. It is definitely a fun-filled day indeed with smile in our faces. Now that I am doing blogs in this platform, this makes me want or inspired to do more travels or taking photos to every significant things I do because it made me feel like I am doing some diary of my life while sharing it to different communities.
That’s it for today…
Rise up! Begin your day with a big smile and a calm heart! This is #AmerrEffect 😊 See you on my next blog!
