The Epileptic State of Power Supply in my place

    It's another wonderful time in the community again, the prompt of this week is so relatable and thoughtful, it's just seems as if admin read through my heart, the issue of power supply in Nigeria is In A very sorry state, It's funny how we claim to supply other neighbouring countries power supplies, and those countries are enjoying whole the origin itself is having epileptic supply of power,.

    It's honestly very disheartening, but one truth is that some places actually enjoys 24/7 stable power in Nigeria.
    I don't get the Caste, or Separation of one city or town to another.
    For me I fell this particular behaviour of setting some places for constant electricity and other places not having any power supplies.

    I stay in Benue State , a state in Nigeria located at the North Central region, here the supply of Electricity is rationed and it's usually peculiar to some set of towns, other places in Makurdi Usually have stable light although not 24/7 but at least 20 hours out of the Regular 24 hours.

    Let's look at Nigeria as A whole.
    Nigeria is the Africa's largest economy, continues to grapple with one of its most pressing challenges: epileptic power supply. The irregular and unreliable supply of electricity has far-reaching consequences for the country's economy, healthcare, education, and overall quality of life.

    All this inadequate supply of electricity has caused Loss of productivity, this is because Frequent power outages disrupt businesses, leading to lost productivity and revenue, just imagine the People using Fridges, TVs, the welders and many more people that their business is solely based on electricity. Taking the Examples of some of what Inadequate power supply is an Increased costs, Companies are forced to rely on expensive generators, increasing their operational costs. Even also there would be Stunted economic growth, The lack of reliable power supply hinders economic growth, discourages foreign investment, and limits job creation.
    Most importantly it leaves our Hospitals in the dark**: Power outages put patients' lives at risk, particularly those relying on life-saving equipment.
    Even the Vaccine storage needs Electricity,The lack of reliable refrigeration compromises vaccine storage, leading to reduced vaccine efficacy.
    Medical procedures Surgeons are forced to cancel or postpone critical procedures due to power outages.

    In Conclusion

    The challenges of epileptic power supply in Nigeria are far-reaching and debilitating.
    I believe our Country can improve their power sector, having 24/7 light is a win win for everyone.
