Hi guys, how was this day for you? Mine in particular I was organizing everything for tomorrow because it's time to go back to the daily routine and my oldest daughter back to school after this long weekend, I know that today we celebrate Valentine's Day but I'm still in Carnival mode and it just ends on Tuesday.
This weekend I could live the joy of seeing a carnival parade, I had a long time without seeing one and although it was not in my plans to see it because I did not know about it, I ran into it during the sunset when I was leaving the Ana Maria Campos Park, so I stayed to live the moment, while watching the people with their cheerful and fun costumes.
To start the parade they did it with a banner, the flags of Zulia and Venezuela, there was a security cordon so that the people around could not interfere in the act, then some young girls danced with pompoms to the sound of the melody of drum, trumpet, saxophone and clarinets, saxophone and clarinets of a musical band, which by the way they did magnificent I was fascinated with their melody, at one point they played the sound of a Fresto's salsa called me hace daño verte, and my mind just sang " Y si te vuelvo a ver, te juro por Dios que me mató..."
Behind came the people dressed in colorful and cheerful costumes, among which stood out the typical costumes of the Andean region, the dancing devil of Yare, clowns, a king with his queen, some women representing the costumes used by women in the carnival of Callao here in Venezuela and the black women of Bobure.
To finish the parade they were playing with their hands and a lot of enthusiasm the drums and two women dancing to the black saint called San Benito de Palermo, who has an endless number of parishioners in the state of Zulia.
The parade was short and lasted no more than 20 minutes, but I thought it was wonderful that they will resume these cultural events in which they highlight our customs, traditions, tourism and feel not only as Zulianos but as Venezuelans remembering our roots and that we never forget how it is to live the Carnival in our land.

¡Hola chicos! ¿Qué tal estuvo estuvo este día para ustedes? El mío en particular anduve organizando todo para mañana porque ya toca volver a la rutina diaria y mi hija mayor de vuelta al colegio luego de este fin de semana largo, se que hoy celebramos a San Valentín pero yo aún sigo en modo Carnaval y es que recién acaba el martes.
El fin de semana pude vivir la alegría de ver un desfile carnavalesco, tenía mucho tiempo sin ver uno y aunque no estaba en mis planes verlo porque desconocía de éste, me tope con el mismo durante el atardecer cuando iba saliendo del Parque Ana María Campos, así que me quedé a vivir el momento, mientras veía a las personas con sus alegres y divertidos disfraces.
Para iniciar el desfile lo hicieron con un estandarte, las banderas del Zulia y de Venezuela, había un cordón de seguridad para que las personas en el alrededor no pudiesen interferir en el acto, luego unas jovencitas bailaban con pompones con el sonido de la melodía de tambor, trompeta, saxofón y clarinetes de una banda musical, que por cierto lo hicieron magnífico estaba fascinada con su melodía, en un momento interpretaron el sonido de una salsa de Fresto que se llama me hace daño verte, y mi mente solo cantaba " Y si te vuelvo a ver, te juro por Dios que me mató..."
Detrás venían las personas disfrazadas con atuendos coloridos y muy alegres entre los cuáles resaltaba los trajes típicos de la región andina, el diablo danzante de Yare, payasos, un rey con su reina, algunas mujeres representando la vestimenta que utilizan las mujeres en el carnaval del Callao acá en Venezuela y las negras de Bobure.
Para terminar el desfile estaban tocando con las manos y mucho entusiasmo los tambores y dos mujeres bailando al santo negro llamado San Benito de Palermo, quién posee un sin fin de feligreses en el estado Zulia.
El desfile fue corto no duró más de 20 minutos, pero me pareció maravilloso que retomarán realizar estos actos culturales en los cuáles se destacan nuestras costumbres, tradiciones, turismo y sentir no sólo como Zulianos sino como Venezolanos recordando nuestras raíces y que nunca se nos olvide como es vivir el Carnaval en nuestra tierra.
