So it is finally the first day of Inktober/Zingtober and I finally finished my entry for today ;;w;; I kind of had a hard time incorporating my initial inktober theme with the current Zingtober rules Ina way that the drawing still feels like me and that it's not really gonna revolve around making new stuff, but more on just sticking to the enjoyment of inktober.
So yeah, from my original concept of vintage expedition, it did go full on cute when I incorporated the holozing characters in ^^
And for the first day of everything, I decided to go reaaallyyy cute.
I drew Infurno ^^
Materials: Rainbow pen, chalk, white gel pen
Duration: 3 hours
I know the rules say that it should be in a single color, but I do count orange and yellow heavily as part of brown plus it does add distinction of what is infurno's flame part and what is the fur XD
And I just really couldn't help myself, this was not made to be in monotone XD
Either way, look at how cute he is, climbing into a backpack and hoping you would take him on an adventure too! That is too cute!
As for my progression, I started this over breakfast since I had a little game night with my boyfriend last nigh XD
So I didn't bother sketching and it's kind of why the proportions look sooooo off to me. I just went straight to pen because I was trying to finish this within the day ;;-;;
More penning OwO and slowly I'm adding details. So I did take the approach of detailing up while I work my way down instead of my usual layering style because that takes a little longer for me to finish. It's more detailed, sure but I don't think I have the time right now since I just work on this in between waiting time at work. And It's a good thing I was mostly working with black since I didn't want my pockets full of pens again like what happened on Sketchtember.
At this point, I was building up my details plus I was starting to use my chalk a little more to kind of blur out the marker lines in the background. I do think it came out good, especially when I was finally starting on the shadows in the bag and also when I was finally darkening his fur.
And that was the process of how I ended up with this cutie ^^
I do realize I could have drawn for holozing in traditional art during sketchtember too but my point when I do these challenges is that I still want to express myself with things I want to see ^^ So it's really nice that the events had intertwined this time ^^
That is all from me for now ^^ I am finally done with work, and done with this drawing so I will definitely have to start on the next few drawings while my day isn't as hectic as it normally is UwU
