The eldest shrunk in her aid would survive and from its ashes, the offspring would rise.
The old mill's door remained closed until the fog moved on and the new race went out and spread across the world.
The old one smiled. From a distance, he figured that this world managed without him. One surviving star was enough to energetically welcome life.
