The Saturday Savers Club is piloting another new initiative: a Subscription Savings Plan!
How Will It Work?
Members of the Saturday Savers Club will have exclusive access to 300 SPI through a forty-week subscription plan where they can buy 10, 20 0r 30 SPI, paying for them each week.
This exclusive offer is open to accounts which are registered savers with the Saturday Savers Club and are on the Savers’ Chart which is published each week on the @eddie-earner account.
- Everyone on the Savers Chart will have the opportunity to buy up to 30 SPI, paying for them weekly.
- Everyone who wants to purchase 10 SPI will have the opportunity to do so.
If there are more than 30 Savers who want to take part the 300 SPI will be shared between them and the Plan will run for a shorter time. For example:
If 32 Savers want to take part, each one will be allocated 9 SPI and the Plan will run for 36 weeks. A decision about the remaining 12 SPI will be taken after all requests to take part in the Plan have been received.
- Each SPI will cost 4.52 HIVE with weekly recurring payments of 1.13 HIVE to @eds-holdings.
- Every four weeks, SPIs will be released to participants in the Savings Plan.
What Is SPI?
SPI is a growth token which is now in its fifth year of operation. The fund is managed by @silverstackeruk.
The original fund value was 13,000 USD in 2019 and was valued at 141,919 USD on Sunday 11 February 2024. It is hard-capped at 94,000 tokens.
The fund has over thirty investment streams with 47% in HIVE, 10% in Hive-Engine tokens and 43% in off-Hive investments including BTC and ETH and non-crypto investments. The fund aims to grow by 20% this year. It has plans in place to take advantage of changes in the external market including the BITCOIN:HIVE and the HIVE:HBD ratios over the next eighteen months. The fund provides and earnings and holdings report each Sunday on the @spinvest account.
SPI pays a small dividend in HIVE each week, roughly equivalent to 9.6% APY, but this is not the main purpose of the investment fund.
SPI is a long-term savings investment.
How to Sign Up for the Savings Plan
Leave a comment below saying whether you want to buy 10, 20 or 30 SPI by 23:59 on Friday 8 March 2024.
Allocations will be announced on Sunday 10 March 2024.
The first payment will be due by Friday 15 March 2024, and for 39 weeks after that.
The last payment will due by Friday 13 December 2024.
A payments schedule will be issued when the allocations are announced.
