Starting from a dream, being someone who wants to try new things has been my character since childhood. Before joining Hive, I always tried to make new recipes that I found on the internet. I'm very curious about what they made. However, the result of the work is as if I just posted it on my social media and that sometimes makes me a little insecure about the final result. It turns out fate said otherwise, my hobby brought me to something interesting in my life. How is it now in the kitchen, even when I cook, it can be seen by the whole world here. Especially the plantpoweronhive community, I grew up here, almost 2 years here I know how and what many people out there like. It turns out that the world is very wide, I am a writer who always wants to provide motivation in the world of cooking and even education about cooking.
Cooking something different with simple ingredients sometimes makes us doubt the results. However, believe me, sometimes it is simple ingredients that give a dish a spectacular taste. A little story about this recipe begins, I had a cold and my body was feeling feverish. My mind immediately went to spicy instant noodles, ah but that's not at all healthy for my body which is still lacking vitamins. As a result, I made this spicy kale and baby corn soup.
Water spinach is a vegetable that is easy to find, yesterday I got it for free from a vegetable seller at the market. He said many vegetables wilt because of the hot weather. So he gave me several bunches of water spinach that were starting to wilt. When I got home I sorted the good vegetables and I got a lot of them. Just look at the kale vegetables which are still very fresh.
I made this recipe based on my instinct, because I like spicy so I added quite a lot of chilies in this dish. As a result, the soup is really suitable for me, who is not healthy like now. Below I will invite you to prepare some of the materials needed.
Ingredients
5 pieces of baby corn
1 green tomato
½ teaspoon salt
Softened Seasoning
2 Spring onions
2 cloves of garlic
½ candlenut
5 cayenne peppers
Cooking Procedure
Chop the spices finely, then puree the spices with a blender until they are really smooth.
Prepare the kale, wash until clean, then cut the baby corn vegetables according to taste.
Chop thin green tomatoes or according to your taste. Then all the ingredients are ready to use.
Saute the ground spices with a spoonful of cooking oil, stir-fry until fragrant, then add water.
So the water I use is around 700ml, simmer until the soup starts to boil. Then add chopped baby corn.
Continue adding kale and cook until the vegetables are cooked, then add chopped green tomatoes.
Season with salt until cooked and all vegetables are soft. Don't forget to adjust the taste.
Results
Spicy kale baby corn soup is ready to be served in my bowl. I ate it twice that day, I enjoyed it with white rice. Of course, this is something that usually happens, so if you want to add vermicelli, that's fine too, the taste will definitely be very delicious.
The savory, spicy taste in a bowl of soup will make me happy, the cold that was starting to get worse seems to disappear. I am very happy that spicy food can really get rid of my headaches. However, make sure the spicy level suits your stomach's resistance. The fear is that excessive spicy food will actually make your stomach cry. Well, if you are not a spicy lover, I don't think this is a suitable dish. However, if you like this recipe, you can reduce the use of cayenne pepper here and replace dried chilies with fresh chilies.
Good luck trying the recipe, vegan lovers, hopefully this will be an inspiration for all of you!
