Vor einiger Zeit habe ich mich schon einmal auf Blurt ausprobiert, aber aus verschiedenen Gründen habe ich die Plattform damals wieder verlassen.
Jetzt bin ich zurück und starte einen neuen Versuch. Was hat sich verändert? Was sind meine Erwartungen? Und lohnt es sich überhaupt, Blurt eine zweite Chance zu geben?
Ich nehme euch mit auf meine Reise zurück zu Blurt und teile meine ersten Eindrücke!
A while ago, I already tried Blurt, but for various reasons, I left the platform again.
Now, I’m back and giving it another shot. What has changed? What are my expectations? And is it even worth giving Blurt a second chance?

Warum Blurt? Reine Neugier!
Why Blurt? Pure Curiosity!
Eigentlich hatte ich nicht geplant, wieder auf Blurt aktiv zu werden. Doch aus reiner Neugier wollte ich sehen, was sich in den letzten zwei Jahren verändert hat. Ich wollte wissen, ob sich die Plattform weiterentwickelt hat, ob neue Funktionen hinzugekommen sind und ob die Community noch aktiv ist.
Also habe ich einfach mal einen Test-Post gemacht – ohne große Erwartungen. Doch die Überraschung war groß: Ich bekam schneller als erwartet erste Reaktionen und Upvotes. Das hat mich zum Nachdenken gebracht. Vielleicht hat sich Blurt doch in eine Richtung entwickelt, die für mich interessant sein könnte.
I actually hadn’t planned on becoming active on Blurt again.
But out of pure curiosity, I wanted to see what had changed in the last two years. I was curious to find out whether the platform had evolved, if new features had been added, and whether the community was still active.
So, I just made a test post – without expecting much. But to my surprise, I got responses and upvotes faster than expected. This made me think. Maybe Blurt has developed in a way that could actually be interesting for me.

Als ich damals gegangen bin, war es mit einem lauten Knall. Doch nach zwei Jahren war die Neugier einfach größer. Ich wollte wissen, ob sich etwas verändert hat – und ich muss feststellen: Es ist viel ruhiger geworden.
Diese Ruhe war fast unheimlich. Wo früher hitzige Diskussionen und Streitigkeiten das Bild bestimmten, herrscht nun eine merkwürdige Stille. Auch auf Discord ist es deutlich ruhiger geworden. Keine Spur mehr von öffentlichen Auseinandersetzungen und Beleidigungen.
Doch diese Veränderung hat auch ihren Preis. Die deutsche Community ist spürbar geschrumpft. Als ich nachgeschaut habe, waren gerade mal sechs Personen online – und alle waren alte Bekannte.
Trotzdem sehe ich das als positiven Wandel. Die Stimmung ist entspannter, es gibt keine toxischen Debatten mehr, und das macht das Schreiben auf Blurt vielleicht wieder interessanter.
When I left back then, it was with a loud bang. But after two years, curiosity got the better of me. I wanted to see if anything had changed – and I must say: It has become much quieter.
This silence felt almost eerie. Where there used to be heated debates and conflicts, now there’s an unusual calm. Even on Discord, things have become noticeably quieter. No more public arguments or insults.
But this change has its downside. The German community has shrunk significantly. When I checked, there were only six people online – and all of them were familiar faces.
Still, I see this as a positive transformation. The atmosphere is more relaxed, there are no toxic debates anymore, and that might make writing on Blurt interesting again.
Hive oder Blurt – Konkurrenz oder Ergänzung?

Die Frage, welche Plattform sich mehr lohnt, stellt sich für mich eigentlich nicht – denn Blurt ist keine Konkurrenz für Hive.
Auf Blurt rechne ich mit Vote-Einnahmen von rund 0,50 $ pro Beitrag, was im Vergleich zu Hive natürlich deutlich weniger ist. Aber das ist nicht der entscheidende Punkt. Jede Blockchain hat ihre Vor- und Nachteile, und für mich steht fest: Ich werde auf beiden Plattformen meinen Spaß haben und meine Beiträge dort veröffentlichen.
Ich weiß, dass einige darauf bestehen, nur Hive zu nutzen, und genau das habe ich die letzten zwei Jahre gemacht. Dabei habe ich viel gelernt. Doch wie in der Finanzwelt gilt für mich auch hier: Man sollte sich nicht nur auf eine einzige Quelle verlassen.
Ob Aktien, Wertpapiere oder andere Einkommensquellen – ich diversifiziere meine Optionen, und das gleiche gilt für meine Aktivitäten auf Hive und Blurt.
Deshalb sehe ich Blurt nicht als Alternative, sondern als zusätzliche Plattform, auf der ich einfach Spaß am Posten haben werde.
The question of which platform is more worthwhile doesn’t really arise for me – because Blurt is not competition for Hive.
On Blurt, I expect voting earnings of around $0.50 per post, which is obviously much less compared to Hive. But that’s not the main point. Every blockchain has its pros and cons, and for me, one thing is clear: I will have fun posting on both platforms.
I know that some insist on using only Hive, and that’s exactly what I’ve done for the past two years. I’ve learned a lot from it. But just like in the world of finance, my rule is: Never rely on just one source.
Whether it’s stocks, securities, or other income streams – I diversify my options, and the same applies to my activity on Hive and Blurt.
That’s why I don’t see Blurt as an alternative but as an additional platform where I can simply enjoy posting.

The Invitation from outofthematrix
Ein aktiver Blurt-User hat mir eine interessante Nachricht hinterlassen. Er fragte sich, warum so wenige deutsche User noch aktiv sind und ob nicht mehr von ihnen zurückkommen würden.
Er meinte, dass er die deutschen Gespräche auf der Plattform manchmal vermisst und es schön wäre, wieder mehr Austausch zu haben.
Das brachte mich zum Nachdenken: Vielleicht gibt es noch einige, die Blurt irgendwann ausprobiert haben und es einfach vergessen haben. Falls du einer von ihnen bist – vielleicht ist jetzt ein guter Zeitpunkt, mal wieder vorbeizuschauen! 😊
An active Blurt user left me an interesting message. He was wondering why so few German users are still active and whether more of them might return.
He mentioned that he sometimes misses the German conversations on the platform and that it would be nice to have more discussions again.
That got me thinking: Maybe there are still some users who tried Blurt at some point and just forgot about it. If you’re one of them – maybe now is a good time to check it out again! 😊

Wer Lust und Laune hat, auf Blurt aktiv zu werden, kann das natürlich gerne tun.
Wenn nicht, kann ich das auch gut verstehen – das muss nicht diskutiert werden, denn wir sind alle alt genug, um das selbst zu entscheiden und müssen niemandem Rechenschaft ablegen.
