El pasado fin de semana decidí acompañar a mis padres y hermano a realizar algunas compras. Todavía con algo de malestar por culpa de la gripe, no tenía muchos ánimos. Sin embargo, para intentar distraer la mente, me aventuré hasta la ciudad de Maturin para pasar un rato diferente junto a la compañía de mis ser s queridos. El día estaba caluroso, húmedo y demasiado congestionado. Había tráfico, personas gritando y ese peculiar olor a humo.
Las compras se prolongaron más de lo normal, pues mis padres son bastante cuidadosos al momento de comprar alguna cosa, al igual que mi hermano. Entonces, yo solo estuve para dar recomendaciones y, inesperadamente, decidí comprar algunas cosas también, jajaja. Es normal que te ataquen las ganas de comprar cuando visitas muchas tiendas con excelentes productos.
Antes de volver a casa, decidimos hacer una parada en un restaurante chino. El lugar era bastante agradable, había música relajante y se veía bastante limpio. Pedimos arroz frito, o como se le dice acá en Venezuela: arroz chino. Todo estaba delicioso. Yo pedí un bistec res y papas fritas para complementar la comida. Mis padres y hermano también amaron el arroz frito y los demás aperitivos. El momento nos sirvió para recargar energías y volver a casa con más energías.
Fue una salida improvisada, pero me gustó, a pesar del estrés que conlleva visitar una ciudad, jajaja.

Last weekend I decided to accompany my parents and brother to do some shopping. Still feeling a little sick from the flu, I was not in the best of moods. However, in an attempt to distract my mind, I ventured to the city of Maturin to spend a different kind of time with my loved ones. The day was hot, humid and too congested. There was traffic, people shouting and that peculiar smell of smoke.
The shopping took longer than usual, as my parents are quite careful when buying anything, as is my brother. So, I was just there to give recommendations and, unexpectedly, I decided to buy some things too, hahaha. It's normal to be attacked by the urge to buy when you visit many stores with great products.
Before going back home, we decided to stop at a Chinese restaurant. The place was quite nice, there was relaxing music and it looked quite clean. We ordered fried rice, or as it is called here in Venezuela: arroz chino. Everything was delicious. I ordered a beef steak and fries to complement the meal. My parents and brother also loved the fried rice and the other appetizers. The moment served us to recharge our batteries and go home with more energy.
It was an impromptu outing, but I enjoyed it, despite the stress that comes with visiting a city, hahaha.
