2024 is about to end. I admit, it was not an easy year. I faced a lot of challenges, especially financially. The first quarter was particularly hard for me.
Then again, despite the challenges, I have a lot of things to be grateful for including the lessons I learned from the challenges.
So here are top Nine things I am grateful for in 2024.
- Last summer, the school's family council help a two-week sports clinic. Both of my sons joined the swimming clinic which they enjoyed. During the culminating activity, there was a swimming competition. Both of them got medals on different events.
- 100% discount on my son's tuition fee. I enrolled my eldest son in the school where I work. The school admin gave me the benefits of 100% discount on the tuition fee for my eldest son plus another 50% discount for my second son. At least I have to worry on the miscellaneous fees and books only.
- Getting Active in Tangled.com. I joined Tangled sometime in October of 2023 but was not active until almost the second half of 2024. Though, I can barely earned $10 a month. I was able cash out my first $20 three months ago.
- Winning splot.io NFT challenge twice. I only joined splot.io in September. Tangled runs an NFT challenge from time to time, and I joined in five of them so far. In those five, I won two jackpot prizes amounting to 50 Million Millix each. If I remember it right, I earned two minor prizes of 5 Million Millix each.
- Sold Two NFTs. In addition to winning in the NFT challenges. Mr. Price Givens of Tangled bought two of my NFTs with a total amount of at least 90 Million Millix.
- Negative results. The DepEd resident doctor felt a lump on my wife's breast. She had her ultrasound an mammogram tests. The tests detect not just one lump but a number of lumps on both breasts. Thank God that the that they are all benign.
- My kids found their sports. Kids in this generation are often stuck on their gadgets. I'm happy that my two boys found the sports they love. My eldest, lately continued his swimming lessons. This time, he is now training for competition. My youngest son fell in love with the Filipino Martial Arts, Arnis. My eldest also joined me in our Aikido trainings.
- Keeping a good health. Except for a couple of cases of flu, I've been practically healthy the whole year. Even at my age, I am grateful that I still don't have any medical conditions that requires medical maintenance.
- Slowly paying off my debts. I am not sure how I am doing this, but thank God that I am slowly paying of my debts. I was hoping that I would be debt free before this year ends. But I still have some debts I can't pay in the remaining two days of 2024. Unless a miracle happens.
- Last, but definitely not the least... Sweet and loving sons. I have two sweet and loving sons who always hug me and my wife and expresses their love verbally and other ways.
In Closing ...
These are just ten of the many things I am grateful for in 2024. While the year began with its share of challenges, I’m thankful that it ended on a brighter and more hopeful note.
No matter how difficult life gets, there is always something to be grateful for if we choose to look closely enough. With that, I leave you with these parting words:
