Hi everyone, it's @memwuai here again. Today, I'd like to talk to you about my experience joining Muse in the barangay league. My mentor used to tell me, every time I entered a contest, that experience is the finest teacher. He was correct; you can learn a lot from the experiences you have.

I was chosen to be the muse for the Capayawan players and my neighbors. I was first afraid because I hadn't been old enough to participate in this kind of activity the previous time. I couldn't say no since I didn't want to offend my brother, who is also a player. So I just said yes and the event will begin on April 16.

It was both thrilling and unsettling to be selected as the muse. I was aware that I had very big shoes to fill because the prior muses were frequently poised and collected. To get ready for the big day, I practiced my walk and smile in front of the mirror over the following few days. I was excited about the experience and the chance to represent the community, despite my initial reservations.

My cousin Brenna advised getting known makeup artist when the time came so that I would look better. I just agree and she call her friend who works as a make-up artist. After a short while, my friends and the makeup artist arrived. My friends support me each and every time I take part in an activity.

My friends were present, which made me feel more comfortable and prepared to represent my sitio. After the makeup artist worked her magic, I truly felt like a muse. I felt ready to take on the role when I left, and my friends gave me support. Their encouragement allowed me to face the throng and fully enjoy the event.

I was given make-up application by Ate Khylie, the makeup artist. This is my appearance when ate khylie doing makeup.

After makeup was finished, it was time to go to Colon, where the event was taking place. I saw my nephew there, and we took a few pictures together. She was obviously shock and asked me why my eyes were getting blue. I laughed when I told her that it was just a contact lens. How funny right? I had also long lashes for her getting confused why my lashes are too long HAHAHA. It was a delightful and memorable moment just before the event started.

After taking a few pictures with my nephew, I had to go back to my team because the parade was about to start. All the other muses were heading to their designated stations with their teams. It was an exciting experience to walk in the parade as a proud representation of our sitio. As my team and the neighborhood walked through the streets, I felt a sense of unanimity. The roars from the crowd were incredible, and I knew this would be a memorable occasion.

After the parade, it was mandatory for every muses to rampa and introduce themselves in the front. When my chance finally came, I didn't waste any time because my neighbors all supported and had faith in me. I really tried my utmost and started to do so since I knew it was necessary to catch the judges' attention.

After the introductions, each muses reassembled for the announcement of the winners.

When I found out that I had placed first runner-up for Best in Muse, I was ecstatic. I felt that my dedication and hard work had paid off in obtaining this distinction, and I was grateful for the support I had received from friends and neighbors.

Once I took the honor, I was photographed by friends, relatives, and neighbors multiple times. Several pictures were taken, some of which are shown below.

So let's remember that having family, friends, and neighbors who are encouraging is crucial and can help you feel more confident. Let's not forget that life experiences are the best teachers of all since they may teach you a lot of valuable things.
