What comes to your mind when you hear "BEER ?
Cold, refreshing, joy and happy moments..
No wonder, it is best enjoyed when cold depending on your geographical region.

We, in the Sub- saharan region Nigeria (Naija) in particular enjoy it very cold.
In the Local bars under the trees

, the temperature or coldness is called " MORTUARY STANDARD "🤣🤣🤣. You will see the "SWEAT " gushing out of the body of the bottle.

Just incase you come down to Nigeria, visit a local bar and tell them you want a beer " Mortuary standard " then thank me later🤣🤣🤣.
After much stress during the weekdays, you try to hang out with friends and family to cool off and bond together. Beer comes to mind and it goes with pepper soup with different varieties of meat

. The pepper soup which is served hot coupled with chilled bottle of beer to wash it down thereby bringing calmness to your body system.
Have you ever felt or ever being in a situation were only a taste of Beer quenches your Thirst. It will make you speak in my native language " beer na- agu m" 🤣🤣🤣. Then you walk down straight to the Bar to have a chilled bottle of beer. In the process of finishing one bottle you are on

, a stranger or friend who likes the way you talk, act or you may have done something for in the past may add another bottle(s) for you

and if you can't say No to favours. You may end up drunk🤣🤣.
Native terms or registers used only in the Bar or drinking booth. Mind you, it is not a general term. Just register used in the Eastern part of Nigeria.
    Ngwori- enjoyment
Barista- someone who frequents a bar.
    Ose- pepper.
I hope you find this Article funny and interesting. Whenever you visit Nigeria, try visit the Eastern part of the country Igbo land (Ala Igbo).
