






In the spirit of trying new things, I picked up something related to drawing. It isn't particularly difficult since my line quality is really poor. This is Zentagle.
You can see lots of videos online about patterns and others related things. Zentagle is about active meditation through art. When you start, you're not actually trying to create art. You're working a pattern and focusing on that until you finish. It is a sort of relaxing activity that works for anxious people.
During my first tries, it was tough. I wanted to finish the patterns but didn't want to rush them. I believe that's how it works. You try to make something out of the feelings you're having and make it into some patterns that may be related to it. It isn't an easy task. Drawing ends being the easiest part of the process.
There are many ways to start on this type of art therapy. Also, trying to do something easier at the beginning is advisable. The idea of sitting and making a whole drawing at once is no joke. And sometimes when you're in the zone, you don't pay attention to the rest of your life. So, hours might have gone by whole you were focusing on likes and colors.
I just gotta say it is nice to have something to do to quench the whole load of thoughts crossing my mind. Especially, when they get out of control.
