I was hoping to get more done yesterday but it just wasn't in the cards it seemed. Some days I manage to keep myself busy but others I just can't. I was up a bit later than normal but got to catch the PDC matches.
The only thing I printed during the day was this shelf for @stryeyz that ended up getting mounted in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom with an 11x2 panel behind it. The rest of the day J got to finally print a number of things he wanted to. I normally have it hogged so he was stoked to get a day to himself on it.
The springtime weather is really nice and the 50f+ temps have done nicely at melting off the rest of the remaining snow and thawing the ground quickly.
WORST PDC MATCH EVER! They played so horribly I could have competed against them. Smith is an ex champ, it was absurd how completely horribly they both played. First leg was 27 darts to finish...
J's bb gun thing he tried. It works best with plastic pellets since they are much lighter.
In the afternoon I was in the garlic rows removing more of the pine needles and exposing the tops to the sun. I've managed to get the bulk of the needles moved and there is still a bit left that is frozen down and will need a couple more days of warm temps to thaw enough.
I am very happy to see the garlic growing so well and am now looking at turning the entire farm into a garlic producer. I really don't need many rows to provide enough food for our family of 4, really the greenhouse and about 6 rows would do. So 10 rows or about 500 lineal feet or 1500 sqft while the rest of the farm can go to garlic growing. Well I guess I should have rows for potatoes too...
The real sign of spring is that it's warm enough for me to get the screen doors back up on the slider and the hammocks go back up on the deck. Jax seems to love the screen so he can better smell and hear and watch the boys in the yard.
I watched Sneakers a bunch as a kid and always loved it. I was watching the PDC and Martin Schindler and I couldn't stop saying "Marteeen" the way Poitier said it in the movie. Which made me have to go find it and download it then we watched it in the evening. "My voice is my passport, verify me!" Aykroyd's character Mother is so funny but also a bit scary in that he was written as a conspiracy theorist but a bunch of what he said has actually been proven true these years later....
The Kraken played and managed to actually do good with a 6-3 win over Vancouver. We were out soaking for a while then headed in and watched the last episode of Mrs. Maisel FINALLY after 3 years from starting it.
I woke up with a shitty headache this morning that is still not gone yet. PDC finals is today, Man Utd are likely to lose, if my headache goes away I may go south to fly at Steptoe, otherwise I'll probably just be on the farm trying to keep the pain at bay.
