Random thoughts on a Sunday

One thing I've come to realize is this.

    Everyone deserves love.
Even if you were brought up in a family where emotional intelligence wasn't taken seriously and trashed away, you still need love.

The problem I've come to discover about this kind of cases is that it makes the victims see love and care as camouflage or a means of ripping one off of something, which is most times not so.
The victims (who are mostly children of parents with less or no emotional intelligence) often run away from what love truly is into the arms of what they think love should be, that is:

    1. Not caring so much about the little things and kind gestures.
    2. Seeing gifting as a way of telling you to pay me back in kind or in the future.
    3. Not prioritizing the green flags and ignoring the red flags at talking stage or courting stage level.

Truth is, probably not everyone is going to have emotional intelligence and quite a lot of people might get hurt due to that but then what we do on a daily either helps solve the problem or increase it.

How do you manage your emotions and that of others?
Do you think before doing something knowing too well that it'll affect the people you relate with on a daily basis?
How do you handle someone who is a victim of an upbringing lacking of love and emotional intelligence?
Are you lacking emotional intelligence yourself?

These are just my random thoughts.
