On the branches

I didn't escape the euphoria of falling in love with that boy, Chris, the psychedelic, but extremely lucid too. I could say that because, in those days, I would grab at any nonsense to make things around me make more sense.

That blue gaze would rapture me, and I had other ways to achieve that state of course.

However, he also exuded light. I wanted Chris's light to pierce my marrow. Oh, Chris, the bad boy, with that exquisite body and energy we (they) all envied to have... in our their beds.

Wild... virile. But you know, Chris also had a bit of an androgynous look, if you felt like looking at him that way. I think, maybe this was the best way I had found to look at him.

Like a Stone. What memories come to my mind today, while I think of... 😅 Chris Cornell... whatever.

So came other times and other dreams, less virile, let's say.
My girls stayed with Chris and I went to kick rocks and read under the trees.

I needed something calmer for my nights too.

Life... or conventions, I guess, led me to experiment to clear my mind. This I didn't need, but I understood later. Sometimes you are slow to understand and you choose shortcuts. Shortcuts are bad because they usually don't lead to the best place. If only I had been my 43-year-old of today!

    And it's still missing.

By the way, I don't know if this combination will keep my mind healthy, but after finishing with the flamenco proposed by @enraizar, I immersed myself in the fierceness of "No Gods No Masters", an album that saw the light in June 2021 and in which Shirley Manson's lyrics come loaded with themes about movements like Metoo and BlackLivesMatter, also about religious oppression, economy, crimes, lust for power and inordinate ambition...

Those, in italics, are the words of the producer of this alternative rock band, quoted by Rolling Stone magazine.

So, @ablaze, here I leave my contribution in this week of #TTT. I hope it will be to the delight of some of you.

    Bonus track

Sweet Lizzy Project is a Cuban indie pop-rock band that is very well known and they started their project very close to my neighborhood, in La Lisa, a municipality in Havana adjacent to mine, Marianao.

    Guess where they are now.

    ;)
