Importante.

This weekend one of my youngest nephews and the only one who lives in the eastern region of the country visited us. It has been a visit that we have long awaited after the two natural events that it suffered in recent days. First there was Hurricane Oscar and then the medium intensity earthquakes that affected that region of our country.
He is a teenager that we love very much and who visits us regularly during the holidays. Now, he took advantage of a transportation trip to the capital of the country and decided with his parents to come to our house.
As soon as he arrived, my cousin and I already knew what we could do because he didn't have much time to enjoy the capital and where we were going to take him because it had been an outstanding debt on his vacation trips.
To give you an idea, he always asks us for a list of places he wants to see and we have already taken him to the Ciudad Deportiva, to play soccer, to Tarará beach, Arte en la Rampa, Coppelia. You have also enjoyed some centers, cafes and spaces not included in your lists, but we have taken advantage and gone through there.
However, since the stay was going to be so short, we decided to fulfill one of his wishes and went to the Cristo de La Habana and other places that are close to that place.
The tour we gave included explaining the importance of the place, the creator of the sculpture, how many like these there are in the world and what it means for all Cubans.
The boy asked me insistently about the author, height, weight, material it was made of. I told him that it was a work by Jilma Madera and not by Rita Longa as he thought. It is a sculpture weighing 320 tons, made of white marble and about 20 meters high.
After enjoying the Christ and its surroundings we took some photos as a souvenir and for the composition that the child has to submit to his school.
Also, we visited other places in Old Havana and saw the city, which was beautiful as always.
It was a simple, but intense evening.
When we asked Aníbal if he liked our tourist gift he told us very much and thanked us for all the attention.
At the end, my cousin and I discussed the need to improve the route and include other places and some space where we can enjoy a snack or lunch, as long as the economy allows us to enjoy it.
This is the story about our walk with my nephew and my cousin.
I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
Important.
