Thriving Beyond the Chaos: Embracing Life After Covid-19

Ever since the Covid-19 saga, life has not been the same.

Many people out there still find it challenging to connect back into the real world. During the pandemic, lives were lost, jobs were lost and relationships were broken.

Although, we have those who have been able to find their way back. For instance those who easily fell in love with remote work. However, many are still out there struggling either to get back on their feet financially and emotionally.

Covid left a scar on us all.

And if we are being honest — some scars still feel fresh

Before the lockdown, connecting with others was never a problem, since we connect with those people we’ve been connecting with from the beginning of our lives. Having a great social skill wasn’t a must to have to survive.

But then, Covid came, and we became disconnected physically, only to be connected virtually.

This is something that has never happened to many of us, especially young adults, who have never suffered a worldwide disaster before.

Tbh, it’s impossible to remain the same after the lockdown. A lot has changed within that short timeframe, from technological advancement to job loss, and many other things that impacted us as individuals and as a community/country after Covid.

Some are positive, some are not.

To some degree, It’s going to be difficult to get back to the lives we all had before. It’s a fact we’ve got to accept.

But at the same time, we can be better than who we were pre-pandemic. In fact, this is the case with some people, where the Covid provided them with opportunities of a lifetime.

The fintech industry is a proof of this. Companies like Cash App, PayPal, Venmo and zelle become a great choice for many people, since the banks are not functioning. In addition, any complaint that needs rectifying physically are out of reach due to the worldwide lockdown.

With Fintech you don’t need to be physically present to get things done. All h their activities are built to function in the online world.

This is where being flexible and being able to adapt to changes quickly is a skill that we’ve got to incorporate into our lives.

However, for some people who don’t know how to get back to their previous lives, what many prefer to do is to blame the government, Covid and every other person around them, except themselves for what’s happening in their life.

    Take Responsibility

Tbh, we can blame anyone for the Covid-19 days. In fact you can put the blame on me, the government or anyone for that matter.

However the case may be, the truth of the matter is that, above all odds, we’ve got to find a way to ignite our fire, and get back to the drawing board before it’s too late. Because if we don’t do the needful in time , we’ll end up being left behind in this fast-paced world.

It’s true for the saying that when the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

    Be the tough one.

    Layoffs are coming

Layoffs are something that has been trending since the pandemic. And now that we’ve got AI in the mix, we should be prepared for the worse in terms of layoffs.

Nonetheless, it’s also an advantage for us as individuals, and also as a company to find other ways to work things out, since the industrial era of the past is going to die off soon.

The same thing happened with the printing press, and now the same thing is happening with the banking system.

    Banking the unbanked.

Crypto is a beast on its own, and it’s one of those technology that gives people hope for the future even if the present and past are tough.

You can attach crypto to a lot of industry, be it finance, social media, gaming, gambling, education, and on and on… The list is endless.

Hive at the center of it all.

If you’ve been able to understand how Hive is built, you’ll understand that Hive is much more than just a social media meets finance community.

If we look at Hive carefully, we can see that it can cut across all industries.

Education is one of those areas where we can expand to if we like. Imagine when people start creating full courses (videos) and how-to’s on countless things, you’ll realize Udemy and co, are merely scratching the surface of what’s attainable with internet learning.

It’s even better now that we have evergreen rewards, courtesy of the inleo community.

Currently, users can earn with their page views, which is a great thing for long-term content creators who would want their work to be visited forever.

If you create something here on Hive, you can now earn past the 7 days threshold to getting paid forever. There’s a lot attached to that, but it’s just an example of what’s possible with a platform like Hive.

But then what I’m even talking about is still something that’s a problem for many as they can’t discern what should be their focus when it comes to internet usage.

Be it for educational purpose or pure entertainment

There are various reason for using the internet.

Some are there to calm their stress, some just there to pass time and escape the real world, but many are there to entertain themselves since they feel that they can’t do that in the real world anymore.

Apparently, we’ve become addicted to the dopamine rush that comes with using the internet. This is another issue I believe was caused by staying 24/7 at home with only our phone to keep us company.

Evidently, the stress levels of the average human keep increasing. And reason for that can be narrowed down to spending too much time on the internet.

The tech world is going to revolutionize a lot of things in the present world. However, it’s also going to come at a cost, for instance making us too glued to our screen all day long.

Tech Addiction is at an all-time high

Apparently, the only thing that was able to keep up calm and connected back in the Covid-19 saga was social media. For this reason, we became friends with our it cell phones which only works as a short-term relief and a substitute to real life interactions.

While the pandemic saga has ended, many people, especially those who grew up with the internet(young adults) are finding it difficult to get out of the loop to acknowledge the fact that the pandemic has ended, and that it’s now time to start connecting with the real world.

To some the scars stays fresh, with no way to really heal or connect back to the real world where their real healing resides.

Has the lockdown chaos come to an end come to an end for you?
