Make Music Not War

But that duet was something special. It's also quite telling how talented Max Mittelman and Corina Boettger are because for once the best version of the singing was the English. I think these two knocked it out of the park! And Chinese Paimon aka 多多poi once sang a beautiful cover of Rubia. I'm not sure if they worked together to record it but if they just recorded their lines separately I'm even more impressed. The two of them just felt so in sync and the in-game rivalry added levity to the scene.

Anyway without an interesting story to keep our attention we go with the tried and true miHoYo tactic of sneaking in a little lore bomb right near the end. And of course when it's about Inazuma there's only one person to deliver it. Yesterday you were able to find Yae Miko randomly hanging out near the venue. If you talk to her she pretty much spoils the whole plot of the event's story. The dog everybody was looking for is none other than Taroumaru the proprietor(?) of Komore Teahouse. He's pretty much the only other ninken in this game, the other one already having a place in our player housing area called the Serenitea Pot. There are heavy implications with this too because during the Archon Quest it was Yae and her influence on the Yashiro Commission that was secretly aiding Watatsumi. In today's story it's shown that Watatsumi was working with the Yashiro Commission to keep civilians safe during the war. All throughout the Archon Quest you could feel the hand of Yae at work. Ayaka from the same commission sends us on a trip to find all those affected by the Vision Hunt Decree and that leads us to our first meeting with Yae who then explains the situation. We are then assisted by Sayu who again was on orders from Yae despite being a Shuumatsuban meaning Ayaka's brother Ayato could have easily assigned her instead. And this is after Yae saves us from Scara somehow knowing when and where we'd be and that we'd need her help. And finally she had planted her Omamori talisman on our person such that once the time was right she could use it to transport herself into the Raiden Shogun's sealed off plane of existence so that she could talk to her and convince her of her errors, ultimately ending the war.

But that's nothing compared to a simple few lines right at the end of this event. Yae hints that there will be a much bigger war. I've actually proposed this for a while. The endgame for this game will be a final confrontation against higher gods in a place called Celestia specifically the Descender Phanes. Originally I thought it would just be all of the Archons acting as the vanguard but later on it seemed the Archons would actually make up a second layer of defense and the vanguard was actually being set up by Zhongli. This frontline would be composed of the original dragons which he was setting up with help from other powers. With this one line from Yae I think she's showing that she's one of those powers, further confirming her true identity as the former Electro Dragon Sovereign. (Zhongli is the Geo Dragon Sovereign.)

So while the event was pretty much filler just from two little appearances, Yae Miko already gave us plenty to think about.

**PS: **And that's why I created my complementary channel to Hive Gaming!

I've been making topics here for a while now and I noticed that most people just want to talk about games in general. Reviews are about the gaming experience. But games can also have some very meaningful stories and some of those stories leave plenty of questions and pieces left up to the imagination. That's what Hive Gaming Theories is about. If you have a game that has a story you were really into but it might be a little too in-depth for Hive Gaming you can head over there and talk about it. Spare no details! I'm going to be putting up some of my ideas from Genshin to give you guys a better idea.
