A GREAT LOSS

in voilk •  3 months ago

Greetings to you all. I welcome you once more, to my blog. I hope you're doing well.

I'm good, and I thank God for making us see the month of October with good health and no bad news.

I want to share my view on what I title a great loss.

I never planned to write about this, but I had bad news yesterday about someone that I had known right from my childhood.

I'm writing this, with great pain in my heart, because, I've lost someone so important to me.

    WHAT IS LOSS?

Lost, means to miss something or someone so dearly to you. In other words, such a person no longer exists.

There was a pastor in our church. He, was in the Ministry, even before I was born. He was serving in God's vineyard faithfully, not until his children grew up and decided to choose the wrong path.

He tried his best to caution them, but his wife was against that. To him, his children's behaviors were a morass to him and his calling.

That continued for a long time. As time went by, he and his wife started quarreling, to the extent of exchanging words, with each other.

All these things happened because of their children.
This was a man who carried fire. Each time, he preaches, demons bow.

I didn't like what I was seeing, and neither did the other ministers of the Gospel

Their case was always settled at the minister's council. But, what I discovered was that each time their case was settled, two days would not pass without them quarreling again, even when they promised to live in peace and harmony with each other.

This was a great problem in the ministry.

All the ministers tried all they could to stop these from happening, but all their efforts proved abortive.

His children never supported their father; they often spoke negative words to him. Without minding the fact that he's their father, and he's trying to put them on the right track.

Out of annoyance, the senior ministers asked them to vacate the church premises for six months. They were asked to rent an apartment for themselves and also used that opportunity to settle their case before they came back to the passion that they were living in.

They left the church premises. None of them agreed to do what the church expected of them.

His wife got her separate apartment. She lived there with her children. Her husband also got his appointment far from where his wife got hers.

They continued like that Not, until yesterday, when I got the sad news.

When I got home, my brother told me he had an accident, and he died instantly.

It is better to fall into the hands of man than to fall into the hands of God.

Being a pastor is good, and doing what is right, should not be your problem.

Who knows if that's God's way of punishing him?

What pains me most is that he has not enjoyed the fruit of his labor.
The devil had control over him and his family.

As a Christian, always seek peace with your spouse no matter what. Harken to the voices of people who are higher than you in authority.

His death is a great loss to the entire ministry, his family, and the community as a whole.

He died a shameful death. All his labors are in vain.

Please, if you're reading this post, be careful of what you do, and how you react when you're corrected so that you won't be prey to the devil.

I must confess that I truly missed him. He was someone, I loved so much. But, look at when disobedience and pride have been done.

Be careful of how you're living your life on earth, he's gone forever to face the consequences of his actions.

    Tomorrow might be your turn.
