Splinterlands | Equal Opportunity Battle Challenge

Another Game Rules for the Share Your Battle Challenge which is also called the Battle Mage Secrets for Splinterlands continues to follow. This is the Equal Opportunity Gange Rule!

    New Ranked Experience

So ranked went into the new ranked system was introduced this season and I'm kind of indifferent to it honestly. While I would normally play in Gold League right now mostly having matches against max-level gold decks, I have been in Diamond for a while getting wins against equal or lower-leveled decks also occasionally winning against better decks and mostly losing against higher-level opponents. It's just way more pay2win where in the end you will have close to a 50% win rate. I'm mostly just going through the motions trying to get at least 6 Diamond chests each day. Currently I'm rank 1179 in Wild likely mostly playing against bots with close to optimal strategy having a near 50% win-rate

Overall as a gamer it is rather disappointing how little is gotten out of the potential of this game since pay2win rules. I also wonder how long it will take before ratings inflation becomes a problem again where lower-level decks get into higher leagues. Also, more bots will be able to grind out rewards with minimal decks mainly using reward cards and players can come in renting 1 strong deck rising quickly in the rankings. A problem that used to be and was sloved with the collection power. I'm quite sure there will be tweaks going forward to fix/prevent these obvious exploits.

    Onto the Battle Challenge:

What I wrote about this Game Rule the last time around was:

I pretty much have nothing to add to this. For this battle the other rules were that summoners didn't give any abilities and that only Magic could be used.

The immediate choice for this was the Death Splinter since it has some monsters with high Magic Damage and Reflect. I put the Djinn Muirat in first place followed by the Prismatic Energy. Both these have the Reflect ability which is extremely useful and the prismatic energy also has Void. I put the Phantom Soldier which has the important Silence ability and also 3 Magic Damage which is huge here. The Elven Mythic and the Spirit Hoarder were kind of filler cards as I didn't really know which other to use.

It ended up in a pretty clear win as my opponent only had a level 5 Summoner.
