Introduction
Hey all, wishing all of you a happy new year as we charge into 2025, what a year it had been and we continue growing in the game to become stronger with bigger experience and bigger collection. The last brawl just completed almost a day ago and it was the last brawl of 2024. And with its completion, let me bring to you, my brawl report for PIZZA 420 The Calzones. The lineup I put up in each match, how each of the match ended and also how did the guild do for this particular brawl. Today will be a short update with only 3 matches and of which I need to change the format of this report a little.
Let's get right on into the various matches.
Brawl Matches
Recently I have been cycling between both wild and modern fray. Haven't found what truly works for me so I will continue tinkering and see how each one works out. So let's dive in to the matches I had and do some reflections on how I can do better for next brawl.
Match 1:

Comment: With rulesets that is in this manner, the natural armour becomes very important as we will not be able to get any buff from summoners to fight earthquake such as Kelya's armour buff. The next thing is to find as many flying cards as I can to sustain through. May the stronger side win. While I did prepare sufficient flying cards, it was not enough to handle all the zaps from my opponent's weapon trained cards and I lost the match.
Match 2:
NA

Ruleset/Splinter Selection
Comment: Apologies that I have to shape it this way for the next 2 matches. I will start by going through ruleset and selection. To also note the sequence in the lineup is also not accurate. For this when there is maneuver, Quora is fantastic at 2nd position and with it being aim true, healing becomes very important as every strike will hit and only way to sustain is through healing. I have also added Endless Ape to absorb any dead essence and surprise opponent when everything else fall as it is at the back of the lineup.
Sequence of lineup should be:
Grund
Quora
Quilliun
Goblin Psychic
Endless Ape
Mycelic Slipspawn
Unfortunately, opponent did not field a lineup and I won the match with a walkover. Hope my strategy used will be tested against other opponents that come my way.
Match 3:
NA

Ruleset/Splinter Selection
Comment: Another match that I had to use this format to review. While there is maneuvers, this is the touch me not kind of a match where there is thorns and melee is a no go where there will be too much backlash returned. As such I used a magic/range lineup to handle this. Oshannus leads the lineup supported by a whole range of cards in the back. I do plant 1 melee which is Isgald Vorst in view of possible kills to let it get growing with Blood Lust.
Sequence of lineup should be:
Oshannus
Nerissa Tridawn
Isgald Vorst
Razorhound
Swamp Spitter
Mar Torren Seeker
Brawl Results
I am assigned only 3 matches for this brawl of which I had 2 walkovers and 1 match lost. Apologies I was out for the past few days for gatherings and missed capturing the screen shot of the performance tally and also later the guild rankings.
Unfortunately, we came in last for this brawl once again. Our win count is not high at only 12 which is rather worrying. I know I am also not the strongest player in the guild nor having the biggest collection but I know I will continue working hard to improve my gameplay and collection. And I know my fellow guild mates are also doing their best to make improvements and bump up our win rate.
Closing
Consecutive last position for 2 brawls, this means there is only way up. Let's fight strong and fight hard, learn from mistakes, grow the collection to have enough to combat our opponents. Wishing all once again a fruitful new year as we continue to grow from where we are.
See you next time when the new brawl ends!
