Early last year, I discovered my passion for playing the flute and took the first step by purchasing one from a local music store. Since then, my journey as a flautist has been nothing short of amazing, thanks to the guidance and mentorship of @lawxokon.
What draws me to this instrument is the serene calmness it brings. The soothing sounds that fill the air as I blow into the flute are truly therapeutic. My love for the flute has led me to explore various musical pieces, including the timeless classic "Amazing Grace" by John Newton, written in 1772 and published in 1779. See ref
I'm excited to share my rendition of this iconic hymn with you. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed playing it!
Lyrics
Amazing grace! (how sweet the sound)
That sav'd a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears reliev'd;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believ'd!
Thro' many dangers, toils, and snares,
I have already come;
'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
