Hello beautiful people. No matter how long you stay in the world, you will be engaged in a romantic relationship at some point. Every relationship has the euphoria stage when you will talk all day and cannot get enough of each other.
That's fine but after that stage and things settle down to a normal day routine, checking up on each other and doing the necessary things that should make your relationship work, it can get a little monotonous and robotic and boring.
When your relationship gets to this stage, when things start getting boring and confusing, it is not a sign that you should quit immediately, it is a time to reevaluate strategize, and discover new ways to keep the relationship alive and understand what went wrong.
As simple and foolish as it may seem, this should be a time when both parties should sit down, have an agreement, and have a heart-to-heart conversation to find out what the source of the problem is, what can be done to sort it out and also what the necessary steps to take to fix it and ensure it doesn't happen again. It is a time to look within, if there are things caused by each individual or if the problem is coming from external sources which is making the relationship fall apart. It is not a time to take a hasty leave or just throw in the towel.
Many people make the unfortunate mistake of rushing out of relationships that would have been great had they put in the required effort to build and sustain it. Maybe because they believed that they would have a better relationship elsewhere, maybe they believed that it would be easier to start elsewhere, they use what they see on social media to compare and rate their relationship forgetting that people do not post their failure online.
They believe in the cliche that it is sweeter elsewhere.
The relationship isn't done that way, no relationship is perfect thus is what we have to understand, celebrities, influences, and high-profile people who flaunt their relationships whether marital, dating, or courting do not have a perfect relationship status have the most troubling relationships you can think of yet, they try to make do.
The ones that work are putting a lot of effort into making it so, they do not have a perfect relationship, they are just like everyone else.
The truth is that great relationships have two imperfect people who are working on their imperfections/differences together and are not ready to give up on each other any time soon.
A note of caution, when both parties have put in the effort, and sat down to figure out what the problem is and it is still not working, it is a sign that you should let it go, you should leave, you are bit meant for each other.
Sometimes, such is life and there is nothing you can do about it, you must learn to know when to leave and when to fight. That's what will change the direction of your life, especially in a relationship.
