Protecting the ones you love is something that goes beyond the ordinary. It takes a lot to protect the people you care for. Protecting and providing for them is something that most people can see as a little thing but then it is a great act of kindness. One set of people who protect and provide for us against all odds is our parents. They are ready to go the extra mile just to make sure we are okay.

There are several ways we could protect and provide for the people we love. The ways we all use to protect and provide for our loved ones may vary due to the circumstances surrounding the individual. Most times this act goes a long way in building relationships and sometimes the end can’t be determined.
If there is one thing I do so well is going all out for the people I love, I try to protect and provide for them in any way I can. Sometimes at the end of the day, I still have a fallout with the person while sometimes my connection with the person becomes so solid. Either way, I would never stop going all out for people I love.
Growing up, my parents made sure they trained me and my siblings with love. They made us know that love and kindness are important. My father will always tell us to stand up for each other and help ourselves in any way we can. He said if could grow up loving ourselves as siblings it wouldn’t be difficult to extend that love outside to strangers and friends.
With this mentality, I grew up sharing a strong bond with my siblings and learning to protect and provide for them in any way I could. I love the fact that I can make them feel better in one way or another.
When we were little, I and my younger brother, went to church camping, where we got to spend 4 days in camp. We both stayed in different hostels since we were of different genders. That didn’t stop me from going to check on my little brother every day. The place was crowded and he didn’t have a phone. The phone I had was a little one to call our parents and tell them how were.
I tried to look after him, so to make things easier for me, I kept him under a friend of mine who has a phone, so I could just call him and then I get to see my brother and know how he is doing. I became the parent while we were in camp because I didn’t want anything to happen to him and if he was in need, I tried to share my cereals with him since he has a bigger appetite than I do.
On the last day of camp, we were ready to leave and everyone was inside the bus, when I got to where the bus was, my brother was not there. I tried calling my friend but his number was not reachable. I had to start looking for my brother. After not finding him, I came back to the bus and he still wasn’t there. The bus was almost full, the teacher kept shouting at me to enter the bus and that my brother would come later on the next bus.
I told her I wasn’t going to leave without my brother. She asked me if I would marry my brother. At that point, this lady was insensitive, to be honest, but I just ignored and waited for my brother. The bus left finally and she said she would report me to my mom. I didn’t see that as a big deal because I needed to protect my brother and know if he was safe.
A few minutes after the bus left that was when I saw my brother and friend coming, they were locked in the hostel alongside other people. I felt better seeing my brother and we finally took the same bus and went home. When we got home I made sure I reported everything to my parents and they told me I did the right thing waiting for my younger brother and not leaving him.
When the lady reported the issue to my mom in church the next day, she told my mom how I disrespected her and didn’t want to follow the first bus because I was waiting for my brother, my mom simply told her, I was protecting and looking out for my younger brother.
I am ready to go all out for the people I love, especially my parent and siblings.
