I couldn't wait too long, so I skipped the Discover option of a contest and went straight into the Art of Boots. I basically did it to keep up with everyone. The mistake is mine and it wouldn't have happened if it started 2 days ago. It's a lot of fun to keep up with everyone. Anyway, I came away with my boots art.
For those unfamiliar with #Zingtober, it’s an incredible initiative by HoloZing, inspired by the famous Inktober. Every day, we’re given a new word as a prompt, and today’s challenge led me to create my second piece of art. You can find all the details on the event by following this Inktober .
Now, let's talk about my artwork! Today, I focused on designing boots. Before starting, I did some digging on Pinterest to gather inspiration. I was aiming for something unique and, after a bit of browsing, I found two boot designs that stood out Image 1 , Image 2 . I used the shape of the sole from one, and took inspiration for the top section of the boot from the other.
Since this was my first time creating shoe art, it took a bit longer than expected. I wanted something special, but not overly complicated. After some trial I’m pleased with the outcome.
Why is it late to start work? Illustrator software had to be turned on on the PC. I started working by keeping the two pictures side by side. I have not completely copied the design of the two pictures. Here are some of my own ideas attached.
One thing I realized while doing this is that there is no need to design the two shoes separately. Make one and put it in front. The design of the pair of shoes is complete. The idea is not bad at all, you say. For this reason, the earliest images I have provided here have only one shoe sketched. Originally, I planned the sequence in the beginning and then changed it. To change, I added a design to the bottom of the shoe. And I have given pictures of almost all the processes of making this art here.
