I finished off this weekend with a few hours over at Lynx Creek after a nice long morning walk with Lulu.
It was a frosty morning when Lulu and I headed out for a hike over some nearby easy forest trails. These narrow paths branched off of our usual morning loop and circled around through the forest behind our neighborhood. It was a nice change from our usual walk and we ended up with a bit over 3 miles total.
Lynx Creek was a busy place with a bunch of cars in the camping area and we saw several of our good friends already out along the creek.
There were plenty of birds and a few deer high ion the hillsides as we hiked a good mile plus along the creek towards the narrower ravine where I explored for and hour or so before we headed back to the camp along the opposite side of the creek.
It was a nice clear day and we both loved the hours out in the forest and hopefully we won't get anymore snow until the end of the year.
For now the days are slowly getting warmer and the hours of daylight longer - a road trip next month to New Mexico will be great.
