A Must Read: Night Train By Judith Clarke

For Day 24 of the Inleo prompt, we are asked to discuss a book or movie that we think everyone should read or watch at least once. When I saw this prompt, the first book that came to mind was my favorite book, "Night Train" by Judith Clarke. As a book lover who loves to explore different genres, I have read a considerable number of books. The fact that this one stands out shows that it is indeed exceptionally good. Even if you're not a book lover, I recommend that you read this book at least once. I'm certain that if you read it, you'll find yourself talking about it. This is the only book I have read from cover to cover more than 5 times, it shows how much I enjoy it. And everytime I read it, it comes with a unique experience.

I read Judith’s Clarke’s Night Train about five years ago. The funny thing is that I don’t know how the book ended up in my mom’s library. In my family, we are all book lovers. Well, except for my dad. If anything, he prefers movies. My mom claims she never bought that book, and my sisters and brother also claim the book wasn't theirs. Six years ago, I hadn't started buying books myself, so it definitely wasn't me. So, how then did the book magically or mysteriously appear in my mom’s library? The most plausible explanation is that perhaps a visitor visited and forgot it at our house and my mom mistakenly packed it into her library. Whatever the reason might be, maybe a visitor brought it or it magically appeared. I'm glad I found it in my mom’s library and it caught my attention.

Have you ever started reading a book that you couldn't put down until you finished it? It was during the Covid pandemic lockdown. With nothing to do, boredom led me to read books. I started reading this book and didn't stop until I completed it. In fact, I read it in one sitting. In just 289 pages, Judith Clarke managed to capture my heart. After reading the book, I told my mom about it. My mom is an emotional reader who cries whenever she reads a book. She told me that the book made her cry. My sister also read the book and enjoyed it. My sister, mom, and I all read the book, and from time to time, we come together to discuss it. "Maybe this wouldn't have happened to Lukie if he..." We could spend more than two hours talking about just that one book.

Night train is about Lukie who hears the sound of a train at night. He is disturbed by pressure from his parents, girlfriend, sibling and even his girlfriend. Is the night train real or is Luke’s mind messing with him? I don’t want to give spoilers, but I bet you'd enjoy reading this one. When it comes to books, one book I want everyone to read at least once is Judith Clarke’s Night Train. On the other hand, one movie I want
