It’s been a while, hasn’t it? First of all, let me apologize for my long absence from blogging. Life has been so busy lately, with one event after another keeping me on my toes. Between school commitments, personal celebrations, and those little but unforgettable moments, finding time to sit down and write felt impossible. But finally, I'm here, catching up, and I am so excited to tell you the exciting things that have happened in my life lately.
From school activities to bonding with friends and family, the past weeks, I must say, had been a whirlwind of emotions, experiences, and memories. Allow me to take you with me as I recount these moments.
Math Opening Event: Numbers and Fun
The math opening event was really something new and fun, but most of all, that event showed that math could be fun and interesting. It might not be the favorite subject for some people, but it has brought activities that tested our analytical skills, teamwork, and creativity in order to solve puzzles or cheer for our classmates in competitive rounds.
What really struck me about the event was not so much the intellectual challenge of solving it but the teamwork that came along with it. It reminded me that sometimes the problem wasn't the subject but how we approached it together that made all the difference.
PLPC: Leadership and Communication Learned
The following was the PLPC, or the Parliamentary Procedure and Leadership Conference. This, perhaps, is the most meaningful event for a prospective lawyer like myself. It was so chock-full of discussions regarding leadership, communication, and parliamentary rules that it gave me a greater appreciation for order and collaboration in decision-making.
One of the prevailing moments is the mock parliamentary sessions, where you present and defend your ideas. It was all about speaking, listening, understanding, and working as a team to reach common goals. Thus, upon completion of the whole event, I felt I was more prepared to face a higher responsibility in leadership, as well as communicate in any situation.
My cousin's birthday celebration
Along with the frantic schedule of school activities, there was a much-needed break-the celebration of my cousin's birthday. Love, laughter, and so much delicious food made the day wonderful. There is so much grounding in family celebrations. They remind us why we live for-the simple joys in life and the importance of spending quality time with the people we love.
Nothing says birthday like seeing your cousin's face brighten up when singing "Happy Birthday" and cutting the cake. It's that sweet moment-literally, too-that brings the whole crew together.
A Random Pic for a Tiring Day
Not every day is filled with grand events or celebrations. Some days are just… tiring. I remember snapping a random picture on one such day—a quiet moment where I felt physically drained but mentally proud of everything I had accomplished.
The picture is simple, but it encompasses the quotidian battles and triumphs. It is a reminder that sometimes it's not about the grand stuff in life but rather the small things that make it worth fighting for.
Feeding 101: Giving Back in Our Classroom
Feeding 101, an activity I organized in our class, is one of the most heartwarming experiences lately. With my classmates, we prepare the meals and share them . It is not just about handing food but about creating connections, sharing smiles, and making a difference in our little way.
It is a very warm and radiant atmosphere in the classroom on that day. I feel every moment is important and meaningful, from preparation to actual distribution. It made me appreciate our lives and see how even simple acts of kindness can have a big wave influence.
Watching Tawag ng Tanghalan with the Eriksonbbies
Of course, life isn't all work and no play. One of my favorite moments recently was a chill evening spent with the Eriksonbbies, watching Tawag ng Tanghalan.
We turned into instant judges giving our opinions on each performance and even laughing about our hyperbolic critiques. Such a simple activity turned into an interesting experience because of the friends surrounding me. These moments of shared laughter remind me of the importance of having time for those who bring joy to my life.
Reflections and Gratitude
Looking back, the past few weeks have been a mix of hard work, joy, and moments of rest. Through it all, I’ve learned to appreciate both the busy and quiet times, as they each bring something valuable to our lives.
I thank God for the experiences being given to me, such as the Math opening and PLPC, for having time to laugh and love with the family during my cousin's birthday, and simple and meaningful moments with my classmates and friends.
I also would like to thank all of you who have patiently been waiting for my next blog post. Writing this has been a chance for me to reflect on the journey I have been on lately, and I hope it resonates with you.
What's Next?
As time goes by, I often remind myself of balance. It's perfectly fine to be busy, but it's equally important to take pause, breathe, and take in what makes it all worthwhile. So, watch out for what's in store, and hopefully, you see more of my journey soon enough.
Until next time, be well and cherish every moment—big or small.
