I recently visited a place called Apollo in Liloan, Cebu, and I can say it’s one of the most peaceful spots I’ve ever been to. It’s not fancy, but it has a charm that makes you feel at ease. Let me tell you about my experience there.
The Open Field and the Sunset
The first thing that caught my attention was the wide, open field. The grass stretched out like a soft green carpet. It wasn’t perfectly trimmed, but that’s what made it feel more natural. I went there in the late afternoon, and the view was breathtaking. The sun was setting, painting the sky with shades of orange, yellow, and pink. The clouds looked like they were glowing, as if the sun was hiding behind them, preparing to sleep.
From where I stood, I could see the hills and some trees in the distance. There were also a few towers nearby, which didn’t spoil the view but added a modern touch to the landscape. The air was cool and fresh, and it was so quiet that I could hear the wind rustling through the grass.
My Dog’s Joyful Walk
I wasn’t alone during this visit—I brought my dog with me. He loved the open space. As soon as we arrived, he started sniffing the ground and wagging his tail like crazy. Walking him there was such a joy. He would stop every few steps to look back at me, as if asking, “Are you seeing this too?” It was a moment of pure happiness for both of us.
We sat down for a while, just enjoying the view. My dog lay on the grass, probably as amazed as I was. Watching the sunset together felt like a scene from a simple but perfect movie.
A Spot for Reflection
Apollo isn’t crowded at 5 pm onwards at that time, which makes it the perfect spot for thinking and relaxing. If you need a break from the noise of the city, this is the place to go. You can sit on the grass or just walk around. It’s the kind of place where you can hear your own thoughts.
I spent a lot of time just staring at the sky. The colors kept changing as the sun went down, and it was like watching a live painting. The calmness of the place gave me time to reflect on life and just breathe.
A Place for Simple Adventures
This spot in Apollo isn’t about big attractions or fancy things. It’s about enjoying nature and the small joys it offers. You won’t find restaurants or shops here, so it’s best to bring your own snacks and water. It’s a good idea to bring a mat or a small chair if you plan to stay for a while.
The view of the hills and the towers against the sunset is something I’ll never forget. The towers might seem out of place to some, but I found them interesting. They stand tall, as if they’re watching over the area. They add a bit of character to the landscape.
Why You Should Visit Apollo
Apollo in Liloan is for people who appreciate simplicity. If you love sunsets, quiet places, and open fields, you’ll enjoy it here. It’s not a tourist hotspot, so you won’t have to deal with crowds. It’s a place where you can unwind, think, or even write about life—just like I’m doing now.
If you have a dog, they’ll love it too. There’s so much space for them to explore. Just make sure to keep them on a leash, as the area is open, and you wouldn’t want them wandering too far.

Apollo is easy to find if you’re in Liloan. It’s a short drive from the main town. There’s no big sign or gate, so it feels like a hidden gem. You can park nearby and walk to the field. The best time to visit is in the late afternoon, so you can catch the sunset.
