    Good morming everyone,

I’m excited to share with you a small purse I recently made using polycord yarn. Although the style seemed simple at first, I ran into some challenges along the way. I started by following a YouTube tutorial, but I quickly realized the yarn I was using was thicker than what the tutorial required. Determined to make it work, I gave it a shot, but the yarn wasn’t sufficient.

I had to unravel everything and start over with a different method. This new approach was much simpler and allowed me to control the bag’s length, which I couldn’t do with the first method. By adjusting the number of rings, I ensured I had enough yarn to complete the bag. Thankfully, this method worked perfectly, and I was able to create this beauty!

    Materials Used:

    • 4 packs of polycord yarn
    • Crochet hook
    • A pair of O-rings
    • 1 magnetic clasp
    • Yarn

    Process:

    1. Foundation:
      • Start with a single ring of 40 chains.
      • On the next row, make a tight stitch for the first four rings, then a single stitch for the rest, and finish with a tight stitch on the last four rings.

    1. Building the Shape:
      • Repeat this process until the piece begins to form a curved shape, as shown in the image below.

    1. Achieving the Desired Length:
      • Once the desired length is reached, complete the line with tight stitches.

    1. Adding the Magnet:
      • Secure the magnetic clasp inside the upper middle part of the bag.

    1. Assembling the Bag:
      • Use a yarn needle to sew the sides together firmly.

    1. Finishing Touches:
      • Attach the O-rings to the sides and add the chain handle.

And there you have it, a beautiful and functional purse, crafted with care and determination!
