Gone but not forgotten

I'm making this post in memory of my dogs Nicky and Einik.

These were the first puppies in my house that I took after the death of my faithful German shepherd. After burying her, I suffered so much that I thought I would never get a dog again. But these tiny shaggy lumps melted my heart and brought a lot of joy into my life.

We were together all the time and it was a great time. They even witnessed at my wedding! When they got older, I changed my city apartment to a country house to make them feel more comfortable. The opportunity to spend a lot of time in the fresh air was a good contribution to their health.

Nicky (red) was the first to leave us. Einik survived her by two years. He was already a deep old man, blind and deaf when he left us. By that time, I already had a few more adopted dogs, which I had adopted. Despite the pain of loss, I no longer thought that there would be no more dog in my life. On the contrary, I wanted to help those of them who needed love and care.
