Magic is always present, you just have to know how to see it, but on this occasion the magic was in the lights, in the air, and in every corner of this little world.
The sensation of being in this place is like a world within a world, a little piece of magic within the real world, and when you cross a certain threshold you step into something totally worth seeing and enjoying.
This is the great Corte Inglés street market. It is situated in front of the main door of the large shopping centre building, which had previously been decorated with lights on the outside and inside with numerous Christmas trees and countless decorations.
This market is already very famous, in other years they had a skating rink, but for the last two years the style has changed a lot and in my opinion it is much more beautiful. This year it looks even more beautiful than last year and I will tell you why.
I see much more free space between the booths and also the lights are not so crowded so they don't seem to collide with each other and don't produce so many jostles. This means that although the place is illuminated in a magnificent way, it is not exaggerated and I have noticed that in the photographs I have taken, they are much better without so many reflections. There aren't those rays of light shining through the pictures which makes them look great.
There were many stalls with a wide variety of products, from Christmas gifts, Christmas decorations, several stalls selling chocolates and sweets in beautiful gift boxes and even a book stand.
The warmth of the atmosphere was excellent, a very pleasant place to walk around, to look at beautiful things, to enjoy the decorations of the stalls with their lights. They simulated small houses of that magical world I am talking about. As if it were a small country apart, with that beautiful red carpet, which I think is what gave that warmth together with the amount of Christmas trees.
Some of the stands had big dolls decorating the front and I liked that a lot, especially for children, but why not for adults too, I think we all have that inner child that enjoys seeing these crafts.
There were many novelties such as a stall to buy Christmas trees and a stall for Easter flowers, that's how they call it here, although I know it as a federal star.
Everything seemed specially prepared for the shops to offer everything a home needs to be decorated for Christmas. Ornaments for the house, for the trees, also small clothes, toys, a variety of sweets as I mentioned and much more.
There was a special area dedicated to Disney characters where the stalls sold everything related to Disney and of course the main character, amidst the Christmas lights and trees, was Mickey. All the children wanted to have their photo taken with him.
Also in the middle of the route there were other decorations like this pile of gift boxes that looked very nice.
On a little table there was this basket with this beautiful little hat and socks, it was adorable.
I could not miss the carousel, which is beautiful with its lights and above all I like the little horses, I have always liked them, I think at that moment I remembered experiences as a child.
I chose to visit this place at a time when there were not so many people to be able to better appreciate every detail, you know that I love details and admire things in a slow and quiet way and those little horses on the carousel, some of them empty, brought back memories of a time spent with my godfather. I think Christmas is a beautiful time to remember those things in life that remain as marks because of their beauty.
The children really enjoyed this traditional carousel and I loved to see the joy on their faces.
There were several other stalls with the theme of sweets, chocolates and chocolates, I love that, they are not the traditional sweets for children, but chocolates like filled chocolates, what a delight. And the presentation was great.
As I walked along, I reached the most open part of the market, where there were many tables with seats for people to eat and of course around them there were various food stalls of different types, there was a lot of variety to be seen there.
I reiterate that the lighting was excellent, just the right amount, perfect. And the signage of the Corte Inglés shopping centre was very well displayed and decorated.
Everywhere I could see trees with their lights and at both ends of the market where the respective entrances to the place were located. The decoration was both magical and rustic at the same time.
Of course there was a coffee, chocolate and churros stall, which looked great.
In the centre of the market and in the most spacious part of the market was a big Father Christmas, where children could take pictures and play. It took me a while to get my turn to take a good picture of him, but I managed to do it.
In one of the shop windows of the mall, as it is also traditional, there was a big Christmas nativity scene where the sculptures were amazing and beautiful, I love to see the work that is put in to make everything so harmonious and perfect and that people can enjoy such a nice place.
In one section you can see something very peculiar and novel, it is the Owl Forest and I assure you that was one of the things I liked the most. It was very well done and there were even owls inside the trees that appeared and disappeared. It was beautiful.
This spectacular tour and visit to the magic market could not end in any other way than with what was promised in this marvellous community. A delicious chocolate with churros.
As this stall was in the open air I decided to go to a very close place to enjoy inside the place, where I was warm and sheltered from the cold, to have this delicious and thick chocolate with three churros for me, which I assure you were spectacular.
The place is very cosy and pleasant to have a good time and being so close to the Corte Inglés, many tourists go there. It's called Tejeringo's Coffee and you can have a great time enjoying good company and what you see in the pictures, very tasty.
There is no better way to pass the cold, I had already mentioned it and even more with this nice walk in this beautiful place.
Thank you all very much for joining me. I send you a big greeting. See you soon.
