The Church of Santa Barbara is the one that completes the trio of temples located in the center of the city of Maracaibo, its full name is Ecclesiastical Parish of Santa Barbara and Sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception, place that has architecture is imposing and with a touch of that neoclassical style that have most of the churches in our country.
I dare to say that it is the temple that preserves most of its old brick walls all its right side area, which corresponds to the bottom of its facade as well as part of the columns that support the structure are of this material that seems to be persisted in time despite the loss of its left side and its main facade that were replaced.
Some details of its right side wall is that its white doors and windows have some frames made of cement but painted in a light blue color, you can also see how a convex figure protrudes what must be a niche in its internal area in blue and white colors, and in the background you can see some white doors that seal an unfinished wall.
Its left side wall if it is built with cement blocks with some upper reliefs that follow its walls its bases, also some windows and details in one of the doors, once the wall ends I found the tower where the bell tower awaits this particular tower has three points and in the highest one a cross in the middle, in the columns seems to have some reliefs that let you see in its shape as if they were Syrians.
Its main facade is also part of the tower with its bell tower but with the clock under it, also some windows but of smaller size in the same structure, in the rest we see four huge doors that as I understand three are of the main church and one that is of the chapel that was built later, the details of this style do not cease to stand out around the doors and windows, in the center is located a statue of Father Pius IX and below him stands out what would be a rose window that we also find in the main facade of the Cathedral of Maracaibo.
Only in the distance you can see what is all its central wing that by the way its dome is not common since its shape is square and not rounded, while I walked around the church some birds accompanied me with their song and beauty to complete my external tour of this majestic parish.

La Iglesia de Santa Bárbara es la que completa el trío de templos ubicados en el centro de la ciudad de Maracaibo, su nombre completo es Parroquia Eclesiástica de Santa Bárbara y Santuario de la Inmaculada Concepción, lugar que posee arquitectura es imponente y con un toque de ese estilo neoclásico que poseen la mayor parte de las iglesias en nuestro país.
Me atrevo a decir que es el templo que conserva la mayor parte de sus antiguas paredes de ladrillos toda su zona lateral derecha, lo que corresponde al fondo de su fachada al igual que parte de las columnas que dan soporte a la estructura son de este material que parece estar persevado en el tiempo pese a la pérdida de su zona izquierda y su fachada principal que fueron reemplazadas.
Algunos detalles de su pared lateral derecha es que sus puertas y ventanas blancas poseen unos marcos realizados en cemento pero pintados en un color celeste, también pueden observarse como sobresale una figura convexa lo que debe ser un nicho en su área interna en colores azul y blanco, y en el fondo puede observarse algunas puertas blancas que sellan una pared sin terminar.
Su pared lateral izquierda si está construida con bloques de cemento con algunos relieves superiores que siguen sus paredes su bases, también algunos ventanales y detalles en una de las puertas, una vez termina al pared me encontré con la torre donde aguardan al campanario esta torre en particular tiene tres puntas y en la más alta una cruz en medio, en las columnas parece tener unos relieves que dejan ver en su forma como si fueran sirios.
Su fachada principal también está parte de la la torre con su campanario pero con el reloj debajo de éste, también algunas ventanas pero de menor tamaño en la misma estructura, en el resto vemos cuatro enormes puertas que según entiendo tres son de la iglesia principal y una que es de la capilla que fue construida posteriormente, los detalles de este estilo no dejan de resaltar alrededor de sus puertas y ventanas, en el centro está ubicada una estatua del Padre Pío IX y debajo de él resalta lo que sería un rosetón que también encontramos en la fachada principal de la Catedral de Maracaibo.
Solo en la lejanía puede verse lo que es toda su ala central que por cierto su cúpula no es común ya que su forma es cuadrada y no redondeada, mientras caminaba alrededor de la iglesia algunos pájaros me acompañaron con su canto y belleza para completar mi recorrido externo por esta majestuosa parroquia.
