My Culture My Pride

Hello everyone, I just have little knowledge about international passports, and that was when my brother traveled to Saudi Arabia in search of greener pastures. The day he was traveling, we went to the airport. We're in the reception room, when it was her turn, his luggage was checked and when he entered the departure section, I couldn't enter with him because it was for only people that wanted to board the airplane.
I knew when he was processing his Visa: it took more than a month before he could get his Visa.
“Visa is not easy to process here because of many people that are processing their Visa. Thousands of people are in the queue every day. When I received an email that my visa was ready for collection, I went to the office. I wasn't able to collect my visa that very day because I was number 657. It took the third day before I collected my Visa.
I believe it is not like this in other states.” - Austin

    How Powerful is my passport?
I don't even have a passport! I have never traveled out of my country. I only traveled from one state to another which doesn't require a passport.
Based on what I saw from my uncle, I saw a standard passport with him; he was issued a standard passport. I knew it was a standard passport because it was 32 pages, but I don't know how powerful it was.
I knew the passport could allow him to travel anywhere in the world. If our country is in the list of a ban list of a particular country, the Visa cannot work unless the ban is lifted.

I also saw a video clip where the content creator talked about different types of passports. I realized that there was a standard passport with 64 pages. The difference between 32 pages of 64 pages is that, 32 pages valid for 5 years while 64 pages valid for 10 years. Both can be used for business and personal trips.

How Easy to Get a passport?
Six years ago, getting a passport was very challenging. It wasn't easy for my brother to get his passport. They told him to come back four times before he got his passport. The reason it was very rigid was that branches were not open to all states. The federal government opened branches to a few selected states in my country. Because the place we were sojourned was a headquarters; people were coming from different parts of the country to apply for passports which made it difficult to apply due to the population. Some people left their states where they had branches to process in a headquarters.
Today, you can stay in your home and apply for a passport. My friend that is working as an agent did a Visa for one of our friends. He did not go to the office until he wanted to collect the passport.
One can apply online or through an agent without stress.

    Culture

My culture is the most beautiful culture in the world. I know this must be applicable to many people; people have to love their cultures because they were born into it.
    We Respect everyone
We Respect elders the most! The men prostate while the women knee down when greeting. A man is disrespectful when he greets an elderly by standing.

    Traditional clothes

I'm olden days, our women covered almost every part of their body. Men wear agbada. Buba, sokoto and various caps. Women wear iron, buba, and gele.
Today the story has changed due to civilization. Both men and women love beads: women wear beads around their waist as a symbol of femininity, confidence and fertility. They also wear beads around their necks, wrists and ankles.
Men also wear beads around their necks, wrists and ankles.
Beads are not the same, the beads for kings are different from chiefs, while the one for chiefs are different from others in the society. There are different beads for traditional priests, they are also different from others.
We believe the way one dresses determines how one would be addressed.

    Religion
Yoruba believed in God called olodumare. Yoruba believe in an oracle called ifa. They consult ifa through traditional priests over any personal or general issues or challenges. They believed that ifa can provide solutions to any issue.
They worship small gods such as gods of thunder, gods of iron, (ogun) obatala, esu odara, etc.

    Festival
Festivals such as masquerades, yam festival, Osun osogbo (goddess) and more.
I witnessed a masquerades festival in my area: different types of masquerades are in the events. There are masquerades that can't be seen by women, there are masquerades that only come out at midnight.
Yam festival is the new season of yam and it celebrated every year.

I stand up for success, and success is not achieved by merely making mouth, No room for laziness, no room for idleness. Success comes to the people who are desperately and consciously searching for it. When it seems unsuccessful or you smell failure around you, never discourage yourself from being successful.
“Discouragement and failure are the two surest stepping stones to success.” - Dale.
