Three Tune Tuesday・Duets

in voilk •  last month

Greetings and salutations Hivers. Today let's go into another Three Tune Tuesday post.

As always, thanks to @ablaze for making this series. Lots of people participate in it! Follow the tags to find a ton of good music recommendation.

Today I have another mix of different genres. Trying to keep switching things up to stay interesting.

Frank Sinatra & Ella Fitzgerald - The Lady is a Tramp

This is such a great performance of the song. Fitzgerald steals the show, outperforming Sinatra here, but they both play well together. Interestingly, Frank famously said that she was the only person he ever felt nervous performing with because he felt she was so far above him and was the single greatest performer of all time. High praise—you can decide if it's true or not, at least in this song.

Freddie Mercury & Michael Jackson - There Must Be More to Life Than This

Freddie wrote it in the 70s and recorded it with Michael years later. Unfortunately it remained unreleased until both of them were dead and it came out in a posthumous compilation. It's a nice song and sung amazingly well.

Laura Osnes & Christopher Rice - Baby it's Cold Outside

This may be one of the definitive duets. Covered by pretty much everyone over the years, it remains a great tune. I like this video not only because it is well sung, but it adds in some tap dancing, a call back to some of the classic Hollywood musicals.

    So what's your favorite?
