So, I cycled again today along my beautiful city and met a sweet soul. My bicycle was a point of conversation, lol. I usually notice people look at me as I ride my bike every other time and mostly ignore and go my way, but this dude, he stared and stared as I paddled through.
In his case, I saw a strange person stare at my bicycle with so much admiration, it was obvious he loved the look, I thought to myself; “could he be a Micheal Jackson fan?” Since I have MJ’s face painted on my bike. All these happened when I stopped at a traffic light. It was so clear that he admired my pretty bike, my companion. Before I said Jack, he came closer and complimented the color and structure of my bike.
This admiration led to a conversation that mostly focused on how much he loves cycling but cannot ride, I encouraged him to learn how to and we laughed over some other issues. After all said and done, he asked if he could take a picture with my bike as he also loves photography, I agreed of course and took him this masterpiece. What do you think about the picture?
This is not just a picture to me, it goes to show how connections can be built just by one conversation and how an open mind can lead to a fun and great relationship. I mean, because of my bicycle, a stranger became an acquaintance and a potential friend! It was a fun day, really!
