Queridos amigos de esta comunidad le quiero hablar poco a poco de lo que son mis días intensos de trabajo, ya que solo no debo laburar sino también estudiar al mismo tiempo, trabajo para mí es la suma de mucha experiencia, que hace falta en este camino de odontología, hace ya casi dos años me encuentro trabajand, en este lugar normalmente mis días de trabajo son muy intensos ya que hay gran volumen de paciente, puesto que es una entidad pública y yo como higienista dental me encargo de garantizar un ambiente totalmente impecable, óptimo para cada uno de los profesionales garantizando así una excelente atención a cada uno de los pacientes.

En mi trabajo debo cumplir tres turnos laborales, ya sea en la mañana o en la tarde, puesto que tengo el privilegio de trabajar en ambos turnos ya que soy estudiante de odontología, los miércoles por la tarde me toca trabajar luego de pasar una mañana en la facultad de clases teóricas voy a cumplir con mis obligaciones de trabajo, llego aproximadamente a las 12:30 del mediodía organizo todo lo que es el ambiente preparo las bandejas conjuntamente con el material provisional, que se le colocará a los pacientes así como también de colocar cada una de las cosas que se necesitan en su orden.

Mis funciones son el lavar el instrumental, esterilizarlo, acomodarlo pasarle al odontólogo cada uno de los implementos que necesite, para cada uno de los procedimientos, también es importante anotar a cada uno de los pacientes que asisten a consulta como su nombre su apellido, cédula, edad si ya ha venido anteriormente el servicio, cuál es el tratamiento que se le va a realizar puesto que esto debe estar incluido dentro de la estadísticas, del servicio odontológico, es de gran importancia conocer cuál es el tratamiento que el paciente necesita para que así pueda formar parte de un registro epidemiológico.

Una de las odontólogas las cual tengo el gusto de asistir en su trabajo durante este mes de marzo es a la doctora Jessica, ella trabaja los miércoles por la tarde y los viernes por la tarde, es una odontólogo que trabaja de manera muy rápida y ágil por lo que tengo que garantizarme de tener todo listo y puesto en orden , en su lugar cabe destacar que al principio me sentía un poco cohibida de trabajar con ella ya que sentía que yo no era lo suficientemente rápida para poderla asistir.

Cada paciente que llega al servicio de odontología es un paciente con una historia totalmente diferente, que contar ya que como todos son distintos cada uno tienen su vision así como también su percepciones negativas o positivas, acerca de los odontólogos ya que muchos pacientes vienen predispuestos debido a experiencias negativas anteriormente, que hayan podido vivir pero realmente es bonito poderlos ver cómo se van con una gran sonrisa puesto que la odontología nos permite regalarle esa felicidad a las personas, que necesitan no solamente una sonrisa hermosa, sino salud.

Para finalizar siempre es muy importante poder hacer nuestros labores diarios o trabajo con el gran amor, disposición disfrutando de lo que nos gusta, nos apasiona el trabajo siempre nos dignifica permitiéndonos ser mejores personas.
