    Well Hello There Adventure Seekers!

    Adventures Into The Hidden Aquarium

    The Hidden Aqaurium!

Now my first impressions of this place wasn't exactly high, but that wasn't at all their fault.
Remember a couple of posts back I mentioned something of their being storms in that part of the country last September, well they were hit real hard! Because they are right on the coast the raging waters and rising tide pushed thousand of liters of water through their little aquarium!

Yet everytime they re-open! Persistence is the real winner right!

    The Founding.

Neither one of us really even knew about the aquarium at all, or at least it never came up as something to do, we've seen it before out of the corner of our eyes but never really gave it any attention. It sort of blended in among everything that goes on at "The Point"

We didn't have any set plan for the day and with the cloudy weather one just wants to stay inside and watch a movie with hot chocolate, right?

Well that would seem a little pointless on a vacation right? So we went to "The Point" in search of something, heck anything!
I think the idea was to get some coffee and take a stroll and we came down onto the aquarium.

We gave it a go since it wasn't too expensive at all!

Just some more of a beautifull view!

It really is one massive bay! If you zoom in on the photo you'll notice the land stretching out far beyond. and the bay itself stretches far inland to the left!

    The Creepy Stuff.

Laughs, what is this even doing in a aquarium!

This reminds me of some freaky ass movie I watched back when I was a little kiddo, it was about insects growing massive and taking over the world, or something of the sorts!

    FREAKY STUFF!
    Although, still cool!

The image is somewhat blurry, sorry for that!

Now this, this might seem small but they were huge! A lot bigger than you'd think them to ever grow!

That praying mantis was almost as big as my hand! If there are any of them that big out there, where do they hide? Because damn, I've never seen any one that big, neither any of the other insects except for the Beetles!

    The Jellies And The Fishies!

Okay so this jelly tank was a bit dirty on the outside but as I said they were still recovering from the recent storms!

Now there's a couple of these fishies that really stood out for me and one of those would be these jellyfishies! They were small in size, but damned cool to look at none the less!

    Of-Course The Starfish.

Now I have to say that starfish has always somewhat intrigued me a little, I don't know why so don't ask me why. I just know that ever since I watched "Nemo" I was like damn that's cool!
Speaking of "Nemo," you'll be seeing him soon! Oh and "Dory."

I wish they had more though.

    The Underwater Carrot Tree.

Laughs, no! This is not a carrot tree. Carrots don't grow underwater and neither in trees! Please don't take any of this as educational advice! You will be misled!

Although it does look cool right? This underwater carrot tree!

    20231226_115939-01.jpeg

    The Squidy Plant!

Neither do I know what this is!

But this does look like something that I want to touch and squish on! Although it would have looked real bad if someone came down on me with my arm stretched over the top of the tank to squeeze that thing ey!

Another Blob That I Want To Touch!

    20231226_115911-01.jpeg

    Finding Nemo And Dory!

    Well I done did it!
Finally after years and years of searching I finally managed to get that fishy!

The moment I saw Nemo I went into child mode again! It felt like my entire childhood got raveled open right in-front of my eyes! It almost felt like fiction!

Sadly I couldn't get a great photo of the two Nemo's, they were a little overly shy!

    20231226_115156-01.jpeg

    A Better Picture Of Dory!

Dory didn't seem to mind at all! Not at all! She over exposed herself a great deal and I liked that! The blue on the fish is also extravagantly beautifull! Certainly a colour I would paint my car!

    20231226_115128-01.jpeg

    Another cool reef squishy thingy!

This one felt sad though, it was all alone tucked into one corner, almost as if it were afraid of the others!

    20231226_114925-02.jpeg

    Some Cool Shells!

Well it's not just shells it's dried out and died out sea creatures along with it.

There was some big shells! Really big shells and it feels queer to see them at that size after seeing a bunch of small ones through out my life as I crossed the beaches. It baffles my mind that things can grow so big, things that we perceived to being small!

A dried out starfish! Pretty cool hey! The colour especially!

    20231226_120028-01.jpeg

    Gigantic shells!

    20231226_120234-01.jpeg

This was by far the coolest! Who would think that nature can create art in its own way! Notice the star shaped flower on the shell? Well that is how these things grow!
Yeah I couldn't believe it either!

    20231226_120228-01.jpeg

A cluster of some sneaky sea life creature! Must be something that pops in and out of their little shell to catch some prey!
Laughs I'm not sure bit it does look like it hey!

    20231226_120041-01.jpeg

    A bunch more cool things!

    20231226_120021-01.jpeg

    Certainly A Must Read!

Well you don't have to but the information it contains is of some jaw dropping sort! I didn't know fish can do that!

    20231226_120958.jpg

The Day Was Not Done Yet!

Now this is never a dull sight to see! NEVER!

That big enormous rock with the cave sitting deep in there! My my it's always the first thing we come to see when arriving in this part of the country!

    Absolutely and enormously gorgeous!

But wait! We still had to go grab a cup of coffee right!

    20231226_121403-01.jpeg

    A Good Book And Coffee.

Well if you found a nice place to sit and relax there is hardly anything better to do than to read a good book and enjoy an amazing coffee!

We just so happen to find a lounge at one of the coffee shops we love to visit. The Merchant. Now the last time we visited this shop we didn't know about the lounge, so finding it now was like finding a gem on the beach!

    Ecstatic moments!

    20231226_124702-01.jpeg

The coffee that "The Merchant" sells is bought from "The Brothers Roastery" so you know the coffee will always be good! But more so the environment of that little cafe was the real deal!

11/10 I would surely return for more!

After that we went home and thrived on being lazy for the rest of the day! Probably did some more book reading!
