Broken souls: our inner battle

in voilk •  3 days ago

So, I woke up this morning to the atmosphere's fragrance, lightened by a melancholic, reverberating sound.
It was a song that traveled through the early morning's distance, permeating my ears and reaching deep into my eardrums. I fastened my seatbelt, as usual, scanned the unknown sound with a popular music app, and finally,I got the title.

    It was none other than:

"Broken Souls" by Hoodini x Timie

    ).

I listened and replayed this piece over a million times—if I'm not exaggerating. Not all songs penetrate my soul, but the ones that do? I cherish them and share them with this community so that no one misses out. Who knows? It might be someone's savior in their last moments.

The song kept my slumbering eyes awake and my empty mind occupied. I caught some parts of the lyrics that deeply resonated with me:

"Sold my soul long ago to the brewery."

This sentence says a lot about the artist's life—and not just his, but mine; and others out there. It's the song of a man who's been through hell on Earth.

When faced with the troubles of life, especially when it seems like there's no redemption, what more can you do? We often turn to other vices, such as drinking alcohol, and that's why he said, "Sold my soul to the brewery."

The song speaks about the depression of a man, perhaps because of love—who knows? Along the line, he also says, "I still don't know the man who's talking to me." This implies that he's lost touch with himself and is entirely subjected to his inner demons and the strange voices in his head

Whatever we're going through in life, let's always remember that nothing lasts forever. It would be wonderful to divert this thought toward any impediment or problem encountered along the way.

Here's the full lyrics to the song below:

    Broken Souls

    Uh Le
Les âmes perdues peuvent trouver l'amour, uh weii.
Sold my soul long, long ago to the brewery.
E fit to be the reason why I go act unruly.
I still don't know the man who's talking through me.

    Uh Lo,
    Uh Lo Lo.
Nneka locked my soul; she tied am put e for one iroko.
My spirit enter all of the premises wey my soul no de follow.
Na wetin dem tell me, I record, uh put e for my volo voloco, uh ahn.

    Omi a do kele tuh.

    Uh Le,
    Save my soul.
I can't make no sense of the words I speak no more.
    Make some more,
    Of anything you giving me,
    I need them more,
    I need them more.

    Na Śānti.
Nai make I stay for corner.
    De say laqwata
    On some trees.
I no go fit e de light e.
    E don pass my power.

No leviathan e fi harvest my soul
    (When Nneka don lock am).
No need e for father to de try kabosh
    (When Nneka don lock am).

Flesh e no go follow you die and go,
Even when I'm talking to myself,
I still don't know the man who's talking through me.

    Uh Lo,
