Most friends are temporarily. Friends may come and go but for God, we need him everyday, now and forever. From the moment when we were born, we need God till our last day when we die.
I feel parents have more work here. Any child who gets influenced easily by peer pressure had a fault from his or her parents because they are the ones who will teach their kids the ways of the Lord and how to be satisfied with what they have and not driven by peer pressure.
Ecclesiastes 12:1 says; Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
This means that in our youthful days, before the evil things come or the old days, we should give our lives to Christ. Giving our lives to Christ has to be done since the beginning of our lives so that by the time when we grow, we will not be driven by peer pressure.
Especially in our youthful age, we are bound to fall under temptation from Satan mostly through our friends or peers.
There is absolutely nothing in the vices of life. There is nothing to benefit from it and this is why so many people regret in their old age because of the things and world vices they have followed in their youthful age.
The Bible 1 Corinthians 15:33 says; Do not be misled: 'Bad company corrupts good character
There is no way you will keep a bad company and not be cardied away by their bad character.
Let’s stay away from anything that will keep us away from the Lord and by doing that, I know the Lord will be with us.
